Such things as this should really only be considered at the end of the season. Emotions cloud any rational judgement during the middle of a season.

I wish I could say the sight of my face about to explode would be enough to convey the hatred needed. Unfortunately our mental problems regarding the hypocrites from Windy Hill go well beyond conventional wisdom it seems.

Which sadly is true a lot of the time. On a brighter note though, that's the attitude we take when we play Geelong and that works out well for us.

the club (and coach) have undoubtedly had two good weeks....but this overall issue needs to be assessed over 22 (and hopefully a couple more) weeks !

I certainly applauded the decision to drop waite and thornton following Essendon* to send a message....and in hindsight it has proven to be a very brave decision.

However, there is a fine line between bravery and stupidity !!!!!

So rather than being a Monday morning told you so expert....I wish to raise a question of our match committe ahead of tomorrow's game?

1. How do they justify not returning J Waite to the side ?
- The team has played with tall forwards who are currently not in Jarred's class and for all their efforts in chasing and tackling have not been able to catch anything other than a cold the last two weeks !

- S White may have a future at Carlton....although from what I have seen to date he is a bit of a ticking timebomb. Both his opponents have squandered many opportunities and from my vantage, Whitey has lost more one on ones than he has won !

If I were collingwood, I know which player I would prefer to be missing tomorrow out of Hendo, WHite and Waite !

I'm with you LL.

I think the answer to Q1 is WAITE

Good on you for calling it before the game. Match committee pushed their luck 1 week too far.

Didn't change the result to be fair, filth were too good. But it was a mistake from Ratts and co.

Simon White has been beaten by all 3 of his opponents so far, they just haven't kicked straight!

I wouldn't blame Ratts for today. My opinion hasn't changed too much on him though. Jury still out. The side is still a work in progress, as much as people hate hearing that.

Comparing Malthouse with Ratts is like comparing Judd with Mclean.

It is a simple issue of whether he can continue to develop the players to a flag winning skill level and also if he has the strategies that are needed to do this.

If this is not the case then despite old friendships - there will have to be a new coach.

Hate to say I told you so !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Foresight - a key ingredient of Good leadership is about making changes while you're winning (ie. being proactive).....rather than only changing things when you lose (ie. being reactive) !!!!!!!

I'm tipping Waitey and TBird will be back next week !

Probably wouldn't have made the difference today but certainly would have helped.

Strike 1 for the coaching panel!

In fairness, didnt do a hell of a lot wrong today otherwise....thought the match ups were about right, the players were up for it and we did try to swing some changes during the game.

While I'm assessing the coaching panel, let me leave you with one question.....how do the decisions to pick up our two melbourne rejects look at the moment???

It took Malthouse 8 season to win a flag.

Ratten has had 2.5 seasons.

Ratts is smart enough to be adaptable and willing to drop name players which is a credit to him and a major difference from the Pagan reign where Denis was ridiculously stubborn.

Why would Parko watch AFL Teams?? Isn't he on that show?
