We get to play again next week
Hendo gets to build confidence in the magoos
Waity comes back in
We played against a well organised and hardened side

Pros - We saw the sort of pressure we have to learn to absorb to piss with the big dogs first hand.
- Carlos
- Get to lick our wounds and then give it another crack next week.

Cons - The maggies showed us the sort of pressure we have to learn to absorb to piss with the big dogs.
- They look like they have clicked into a good side.
- Fade out after being beat from pillar to post.

Round 6 - PROS and CONS

Well, we showed a lot of upside today, but in the end we simply weren’t as good as our opposition. They are more experienced, seasoned and consistent, and had fewer weak links. That’s where we’re at for now.

PROS

1. Kane Lucas – belongs, and moves well.

2. Paul Bower – gun, slotted right in.

3. Army and Russ kept running and creating.

4. Joseph and Setanta had their best games for the year

5. Gibbs, Murph, Judd, Heath and Simmo are a great midfield unit.

CONS

1. Brock McLean – insipid, absolutely insipid. Gets caught even when in open space. What’s wrong with him, can’t ever get a handball off! Automatic ball up whenever he gets near it. Pick 11???? Kidding.

2. Lachie is really battling to catch. Gets to the right spots.

3. Simon White has been repeatedly beaten by Burton (1.4), Podsiadly (0.4) and now Dawes (7 marks in the first half). He probably shouldn’t have been picked this week, but it didn’t change the result.

4. Forward entries – we still had some trouble entering 50 today and turned it over badly too many times, than got punished for it decisively. Lack a consistent target even the Setant played well.

5. Coping with the filth’s pressure – we fumbled a lot early on when the blowtorch was applied and played catch up from then on.

A lot of positives today, for the first time in a while I can see where we’re going. But we’re not there yet by a long way.

We could match the filth’s pressure for 75% of the game, but they are very well drilled and keep harassing and tackling for 100% of the game. We lost to a more seasoned outfit.

pros
setanta - monster game
judd - racking them up
murphy - pure quality
jacobs - servicable in the ruck, a few clear taps to advantage
boewr - good first game back

cons
henderson completely lost confidence.
Judd needs disposal has been off in the 3 weeks since he has been back
disposals
faded badly in the last quarter (perhaps the cats game took a lot more out of us)

Just got back.... what a shocker.

Pros
Well done Setanta
Bower is back
good efforts from Gibbs, Judd, Murphy & Simmo

Cons.
McLean you are a waste of space
Joseph needs a rest
Henderson not good enough atm.

Defence leaks like a sieve we need Waite in there pronto.

Pros

Judd
Irish
Murphy
Yarran showed real signs of class

Cons
Fumbles
Henderson & Waite not coming in for him
McClean
Too often we had our midfielders running forward of the contest whilst the Collingwood guys stayed in the contest and won out with weight of numbers. Must of been 4-5 goals we conceded due to instances like this.
% got a hiding and we dropped 17% and out of the 8.

Biggest laugh ( Could be a pro or a Con ) : Bower Still marking the Spot whilst Cloke is already had a shot at goal & missed. It's worth sending to the funniest Home Video....

Pros:

Judd
Setanta (I knew he'd kick a bag this week...and many more to come)
Simmo Murphy Gibbs Scotland Russell Armfield didn't stop going full bore all day.
Great comeback in the 3rd.
I enjoyed the game except for the 1st 15 mins of the 2nd and last 15 mins of the last.
Houla on Shaw
Reality check

Cons:

McLean (whether we won or lost, I was going to not hold back this week) there's no excuse for this guys efforts imo; overrated by posters everyweek bar one.
They are a well drilled team. We need to improve our footy knowledge.
our % has been decimated; we dropped out of the 8
Waite not playing. Ditto Hadley or Robinson.
Hammer is still out injured.
Allright, I'm convinced Henderson needs a spell in the Magoos.

Pros
----
Our guns are guns.
Showed promise for periods.
Can take some lessons out of this game (as distinct from the Ess match!)
Not sure why but I feel we can beat StK next week...

Cons
-----
Henderson (although I am a fan, he will have a few weeks in Red to get his shit together)
Fumbling
Being forced out wide
Not tackling well or often enough

Pros

- Irish!
Brillaint today! What do the haters think now?
- Judd
tried hard.

Well, that's it fir the pros.

Cons

- McLean is useless.
- Henderson needs a spell
- flooding in the last when we need goals?
- turnovers were a result of having nobody up forward to kick too.

Shocking game.
