Huge overs for a renown vote getter that's moved into the midfield and is dominating. He got my 20 each way to win 25k. Let's all get on and see if we can back him into 50's!!

Why would you even bother? He is absolutely no chance to win.

No chance.. You would have been better off on putting $100 on Barlow at the start of the year..

Disagree. Like I said, has polled votes before with lesser form and this year he's moved into the midfield. We all know the Brownlow is a midfielder's medal. He's in best ever form and picking up 30 plus quality touches a game. The last time his stats were this high he polled 10 votes in the Brownlow in an awful side that barely won any games. I see him as a 50-1 longshot. 1000-1 is way over the odds.

Do you mean in the same way that Melbourne will remain on the bottom of the ladder, or that Fremantle completely suck and will never improve?

The bookies have him at a thousand-to-one to win, because... well, he's a thousand-to-one to win.

OK, maybe he's really 200-1. But still very little chance. They're offering juicy odds because they want to take your money (and take it they shall).

Punters can say what they like, but it's the bookies who always win.

Plays in a side that has Judd, Gibbs and Murphy. Three guys that based on last year will hog the votes........ limits his chances.

They have blown out his odds to entice you to bet.. I reckon u are throwing your money away

There are better 'risks' out there.....Watson, Goddard, Barlow, Hodge ... Silvia for a smokey.
Scooter is in great touch & 150-1 is a better reflection of his current form.

odds of 1000-1 when there's only 650 players in the comp.... overs! lol

for me big sandilands presents the best value. has been backed in to around $26 or so, is playing dominantly, taking more contested marks and kicking goals.

You'd have been better off taking that $20 and throwing it out your car window driving past the commission flats on Hoddle St. It's gone, never to be seen again.

Punters... What an astonishing lot. You're insatiable appetite to "win big against the odds" always leads you to think you're a chance; we're the silly ones for not getting on Heath Scotland at 1000-1, not you for putting $20 on him.

I'm no punter, but a better, more realistic, bet would have been $20 on us to win today. At least then you'd be a chance to win. The whole idea is to place money on realistic things, is it not? It's not a contest to see who can piss away the most money on an exotic bet, or a quirky bet on a dark horse.

You'll probably study Scotland's form until the end of the year and whip out the punters staple of "I'd have won if..." when he polls 4 votes. Ahhh, gamblers... They'd only have won if history unfolded in a completely different way, honest. It wasn't a bad bet, it was bad luck I tell ya!

Mate you are a tripper. No one's asking you to back him. I'm just pointing out that they are super odds for anyone that might like to have a crack. Simple as that. If you don't like it, look the other way.
