RIP Richard Pratt

(10 December 1934 - 28 April 2009)

In the next day or two I'll get around to changing the user ranks, for now, let's pay our respects to one of Carlton's true clubmen.

Indeed, and I would hope it'd be a time for all at the Carlton Football Club to take stock in their position, and appreciate how lucky we all are to still exist, let alone be in a state of prosperity as we are now.

Dick would want us to remember the lessons he taught us, but to move forward.

(I hope Ratts doesn't tell the boys to "Do it for Dick" because we know how well they've gone every other time they've been asked to do so  )

It's important his role in our club is never forgotten or taken for granted. I know everyone here wouldn't forget, but for the future it's crucial his commitment and contribution to the club is never, ever put anywhere but front and centre.

A terrific man whose legacy is a Carlton Football Club for all of us to enjoy and savor. We should always endeavor to give the man a Carlton he'd be proud of.

Thanks for all you did, from one Carlton man to another, Richard.

There was a little snippet in the Hun yesterday about how pleased he would be as he has always been keen on us recruiting indigineous players and how the three amigos would gave put a smile on his face.

Thanks for all that you have done Mr Pratt.

Thoughts always with Dick Pratt.

The Godfather of Carlton.

No negative publicity in 2010.
Sorry about the Bumbers game...we'll make up for that....this year.

Can't believe it has been a year. I always intended to sign up for membership this year and have saved each and every dollar I have to do it (not in the best financial situation compared to last year), seeing this reminded me of what Dick did for the club and I am going to sign up right now. It really makes no difference if I do it now compared to next month but knowing what Dick did for the club sitting here without a 2010 membership feels wrong.

RIP Dick thanks for everything.

RIP Dick - it scares me to think where the club would be right now had you not stepped into the fold when you did.
