Peter Dean. Need someone to show the team how to play with heart.

Into this particular team at this particular time?

1. Sticks
2. Daylight
3. Daylight again
4. Kouta at his best
5. SOS
6. Diesel
7. Jezza
8. Barrassi
9. Nicholls
10. Walls

Midfielders - got it, got doubles
Defenders - got it
KPF - need it

Williams was the best but Kouta would be better suited to the game today.
Although, Williams would get 97 possessions each match (he was getting 40+ without one-two handballs out the back)
SOS would turn our backline from good/developing well to Top 3 defenses.

Williams.

People say he'd be too slow; well he was too slow for the era he played in. Didn't matter. An absolute genius. With a midfield of Williams, Judd, Murphy, Gibbs... you could put a bunch of spuds in the forward line and we'd win because the opposition wouldn't get their hands on it.

Jezza a close second. Imagine James Hird-like flexibility, but with 100 goals per year capability as a forward.

Bruce Doull wouldn't be bad either, because that way we'd have a gun backman who could keep the best opponents scoreless, yet rebound tirelessly all day. And we'd be pencilling him in for 15 seasons.

If we had Sticks, does that mean he'd be president too? Or is it some weird time-travel thing where the Present-Day Sticks ceases to exist?

Shit we've had some great players.

No need to be getting one-two's when you're putting a teammate into a better position each time you touch the ball.

Williams would still just get his 35 touches, maybe a few more because the umps look after them a bit more these days. The difference is there wouldn't be any cheapies.

I know this sounds silly when compared with the champions of the past, but Ang Christou would be fantastic for the way the game is played now. Could play on small or tall, kicking would break the zones, pinpoint passing and could kick goals when played forward.

Great choice!

IF its one player only ITs Kouta at his best because he could cover the holes we have at chalf back and chalfforward and cover as the extra in and under midfielder.

very close second Big Nick because he could ruck and release Kreuzer forward or play as a key forward himself

IF its 2 players Sticks
SoS
