Does anyone find it a bit weird that after yesterday we're now being referred to as a 'quick' side? We looked quick yesterday, but are we really?

I think our forward line has great leg speed but our defence and midfield are quick in terms of how they move the ball from defence to attack.

The TV people gave Gibbs a television for being BOG & I think that they got it right.

I thought that Armfield had a great game & made a real mess of Burns, but didn't even
get named in the best players in the Adelaide papers. I would like to see him in our
midfield rotations at some stage this year.

Armfield doesn't exist. He is purely a figment of our imagination. We merely dreamt he was part of the Judd trade. We're all delusional.

It is a real shame that Walker has been injured again. He really needs to find a better way to rollout of a tackles. Always appears to get slammed on his neck, head, shoulder, needs to get his back turned. Maybe needs to go and do some Judo or wrestling to learn some skills about shifting weight when he falls.

However, with that said, he is not the loss he once was, we now have Lucas to cover the run with role.

Bower and Waite to come in to add some run from the backline.

I am so thrilled that the match committee have chosed to leave Thornton out. I can not find a role for him. He is slow and a negative influence. His failure at the Bullants shows that he doesn't have the maturity to learn the game. Maybe a trade to Gold Coast or Hawthorn awaits.

POW!

This is a great question...and it shows that a change in method can make a side look quick or slow...our change of tactics re the extra run from the back half in the last two weeks has made us appear quicker...and when we have played static footy we look slow as a wet week...Ratts has got it right the last two weeks....its all about run and playing on instinct...

LOL. I'm still waiting for Michael Bower to come back into the side!

Is that the sound effect for the blow to the head caufield received shortly before making this post?

I loved the vision of Carrazzo giving the ranga a raz-up after Murphy kicked our 1st.

added Garlett - genuine speed

added Lucas - genuine speed

Tex running now - genuine speed

Judd back in - Genuine speed

Army back in - genuine speed

JR's confidence to run the lines - genuine speed

I think we are much faster with all of them playing.

It is the problem with playing all of Waite/Bower/Jammo/T-Bird/Santy/Hendo/White (or Austin) - at most i think we can play 5 of them, at best I think 4. Which 4?????

For me, its Jammo, Bower, Santy, Hendo, Waite,

As many a Coach has said........Every team looks quick when you have the ball and the opposition is chasing you all game. Easier to have spring in your step runing toward goal than running away from it.

Do you really believe that Bower and Waite will "add some run from the backline" especially compared to how our back 6 have gone the past 2 weeks?

Maybe, but I believe that undersells what moving Walker back, getting more run and balance in defence, adding Garlett, Judd and Armfield and dropping Thornton and Waite have done for the side.

Great post DB.

The only difference I believe is that when Waite is 'fully fit' he will add another dimension to our midfield. To have a mobile guy like him who can mark through the midfield and bring more runners into play as well as dropping back and fwd when needed will only add to our side. Unfortunately we may not see that side of him until next year.

For me I think the four will eventually be: Jamo/Bower/Henderson/Austin!

yes Waite teases, its why my 4 became 5 but I think Waite is a tall not a tall small, like Santy, he has leg speed, but watch a small turn, its that speed on the ground that counts.
