McLean spent a lot of the game freeing up Judd by bumping Selwood/Ling at clearances. Can't be judged just on that, but don't underestimate that part of his role.

We all know this... but this is AFL there should be more strings to ones bow. He did really good in his first two games..but looks like carrying an injury turned the ball over abit.

His touch and skills are outstanding... you're imagining things.

Like I said, he beat his opponent hands down today, but for all his efforts, he didn't do a lot of damage going the other way because he's not a great kick... I don't know if we've got any better...

With all due respect, are you on crack?

With all due respect, i'm on crack right now and i thought army's kicking was great today.

What a tough week at the selection table.
We need to bring Bower & Waite back but for mine we shouldn't be ommitting Henderson or AJ.
I was really happy to see AJ fight it out and thought he did well in the end. Nothing wrong with trying to take someone on either. Henderson is making in roads even though he dropped a few today, he must be played for confidence and growth. When he starts to get the confidence that he belongs and holds those marks, he will be the iceing on the cake we are looking for in the F50.
Walker unfortunately will make way for Bower but who else?

ps. Will beat Collingwood. :donk:

Armfield was in our best three or four today. Anybody calling for him to be dropped clearly was watching the game very closely.

I'd roll the dice even more for this one and go in with one ruckman and bring in Waite for Warnock...Bower for 1AW....

Hutchy on Footy Classified said that it's a broken arm for Walks, six weeks.

Bad luck for Walks, who had truly hit his straps.

Out: Walker (shoulder)
In: Bower

That's it, injuries notwithstanding. Waite will get a go when he can show himself capable of playing a role at one end or the other, and that should be at the expense of another tall, rather than a small or mid.

Let's get out there and destroy Collingwood's little DIY game plan, where everyone has a cookie-cutter role for themselves that only they can perform.

Agree completely. McLean is vitally important to our midfield setup IMO.

Tyson Stenglein doesn't hurt you that much. But the blokes around him a few years ago did...

Brock was brilliant from my Row K seat on the wing. Maybe you were sitting too high up or didn't notice his hard work in the packs. Maybe the radio didn't do him justice.

9 Kicks
8 Handballs
8 Tackles - Our leader.

He does his job and allows Judd and others to get free.

You should use the tv station named after our former premiership ruckman and current planning minister

One thing, can we just stop from vacillating from "we never win a game again" to "we will smash them all". If there is anything we know, it is that our team is still quite inconsistent - probably our greatest hurdle towards becoming a top 4 side.

So to be honest, I have no idea how we will go next Sunday.

Honestly, thats a pretty good result.

As long as it has nothing to with the shoulder, be it a broken arm or cb, its a very good result.

He can be back mid season, will gain an extra week with the split round, and have half a season to build back towards finals!

Still shattered for him after the run he's had, but I really thought it was going to be a lot worse when I saw him in a sling.

I have confidence that the last operation to his shoulder will be the end of any problems there

Not often i read such an unsensational post....very refreshing.
I'm just glad over the last couple of years my expectations have gone from zilch to knowing we can beat any team on our day.
I don't expect it but can at least invisage it happening. Go Blues Boys!!!!!!!!
