Collingwood................. St Kilda...................... Port Adelaide.................... Hawthorn................................

These are ALL winnable games.

- The pies have shown nothing. They beat Essendon* (which are crap) and Hawthorn (not much better) and JUST got over the line against Melbourne.

- StKilda are showing some signs of form drop and without Riewoldt, I think we have our best chance in a long time to finally beat them.

- Port are prooving Critics wrong, but I think we're better.

- The Hawks are struggling big time. They look tired and lost and without a ruckman, they are vulnerable.

At the start of the season, I saw our start of the season as TOUGH. Adelaide / Geelong / Collingwood / Saints / Port / Hawks.................. that's a tough run. BUT - i'm starting to find belief in this team and I think we can win the next 4 games in a row.

It's our best chance!

Not sure about all 4, but I have a lot more confidence that we can do well. 2 would be passable, 3 good, 4 fantastic.

At the start of the year, I would have accepted 4 wins after round 9, but now I expect more. Hey, perhaps that should be our next motto. "Expect More"

But I was told here that we're going to be 1-8 after round 9. Surely that will still happen?

All winable if we keep playing in this vein. But realistically I'll take 2 wins/2 losses over the next month. If we are 5 wins and 4 losses after round 9 I'll be very happy (considering how bad the fixture looked for us preseason).

Surely at 5 wins 4 losses with some slightly easier games to follow we would have to still be a chance for the top 4...

Without Fev - who would've thought it!!

I'll be honest and say I had us at 2 and 6 to start the year based on that run of games, before a mid season surge.

That was against last year's top 8 and as we've seen its a ripper of a ladder this year. We've already played four of last year's top eight (2-2) and only one of the teams outside of the 8 (1-0), but I think at the moment only 4 of last year's top 8 are still up there.

So the mid season surge might be against harder opponents on current form...but then again we were very impressive yesterday, far more so than against the Crows.

I had us at 3 and 6 after 9 rounds...but surely we can pinch a couple in the next 4 which if we did we would still have a reasonable chance of making the 8....

Maybe if we employ Brian Waldron.

If we can get more than two wins from our next four games, people will start to take us VERY seriously.

Even if we get JUST two.

Disagree. Excuses will be made no matter which two we win. Case in point, this past game. All the press (with the exception of our mosquito fleet) has been about how bad and off their game Geelong were.

The next four weeks if:
We beat Filth/Aints, but lose to Port/Hawks: Filth/Aints were off the boil, Carlton still too inconsistent to really challenge
We beat Port/Hawks, but lose to Filth/Aints: We're flat-track bullies, not good enough to challenge genuine contenders
We beat one of Filth/Aints and one of Port/Hawks: Consistency still a problem, plus whoever we beat was off the boil etc

We need to win 3 (and be competitive in the other) for people to start thinking that we're fair dinkum.
