Out: Walker (inj), Henderson
In: Bower, Waite

Henderson needs to find some touch in the VFL, similar to how Waite had to

Need to keep the balance as is.

Bower in for Walker. If Bower is no longer match fit i would look at bringing in Anderson for walker.

If Waite must come in it should be for one of Henda or Satanta but i would not bring him in.

If Hadley comes in its for Mclean (if playing injured).

Joseph to stay in and play on one of Davis, Thomas or Didak. I dont think he was that bad today. He got outmarked when ablett went forward but most of today he managed to get goalside of ablett. Ablett didnt really bother me today apart from being immune to the holding the ball decision.

Need to keep a running backline.

Need to bring the all over pressure to match their all over pressure.

Should be a good game.

In a post-match interview on Channel 10, Ratten said that Bower and Waite are certain selections for the Collingwood game.

Maybe Jacobs for Warnock and Waite for Setanta but probably only the one change after a great win.

I AGREE WITH YOU 100%

BOWER WILL COME IN 100% IF YOU LISTEN TO RATTS PRESSY

ALSO PRE GAME HE SPOKE TO SEN AND SAID THAT WAITE HAD A RIPPER FOR THE ANTS AND IS PRETTY MUCH A CERTAINTY TO PLAY

ONLY 50/50 IS WARNOCK FOR JACOBS

EVERYONE ELSE STAYS

NEED TO TRY AND STICK TO THE SAME PLAYERS AND GET THEM TO GEL AS A GROUP.

If Bower fails to prove fitness would it be worth playin Hendo at CHB and bring in Wiggins to play CHF.......Hendo does look comfortable down back when there and it may give him the confidence he needs to start shining when he returns forward as soon as Walks, Bower, co return

Warnock was good today. His 1%'ers were excellent.

He only gave Bower the big tick. But I suspect you are right, in any case. (See the R5 post-match thread for the clip.)

Aside from that I am loving how the meedyah are lapping up the Pies big win yesterday. Even after beating Geelong today the prevailing opinion seems to be that Collingwood just has to turn up. Of course, the filth could win, but if we can sneak in under the radar after knocking off the Premiers by 6 goals then that's a massive plus for our preparation.

I was going to say, no keep Hendo playing forward, but maybe you're right (although it sounds like Bower will be in). The important thing is that Henderson gets consistent game time in the seniors. I think his team first approach and the structure he provides means he should still be persisted with at this point in time.

I reckon bringing back Wiggo would be like going back in time...he's not the future so why go down that path....if Bower isn't ready Waite can come in and play down back...he has a knack of turning it on against the filth..

Shame, though was expecting 6 weeks to be a best case scenario once I heard about the injury. Did he mention whether it was a collarbone/shoulder/arm? I'm hoping not the shoulder. Doesn't sound like it as I would've thought a shoulder would be more like 12-14 weeks if Tex's previous injuries are anything to go by.

fair enough, but it is his 99%ers that I am worried about.

The most overhyped player at Carlton in my opinion. Would get outbodied in a netball contest.

My changes would be:

In
- Bower
- Waite

Out
- Walker (inj)
- Joseph

Good week for an auction to go to the rooms, CFC... :) I know of a mad keen fan coming down from Brisbane....
I am looking forward to this game so much - I hope we don't make the mistake of underplaying the importance of this one!

I think the Waite nd Bower ins will be good, but I don't know who to drop for Waite.... Hendo is proving very versatile for being able to drop back when things aren't 100% up front....

Go the 2010 Mosquito Fleet!!

There's a LOT of pace going out of the side with those changes Joseph will probably survive. Gazza gave him a bath today.

Armfield beat Byrnes hands-down today, but I just reckon he panics when coming out of the backline and doesn't have the ability to boot it long when out of options. Waite runs similar lines to Armfield and can break even with a long kick when he's run too far for the leading forwards.

I'm not advocating the "boot it at every opportunity" game plan, but its a good fail safe.

Errrrr.................... Yuuuuuaaaaaaaa I'm gonna have to go ahead and say noooooooooooooooo!

Amfield was brilliant today and whilst Ablett was good - he could have been a whole lot better! Joseph is a needed member of this team.

Surely you jest?

Like I said, he beat his opponent hands down today, but for all his efforts, he didn't do a lot of damage going the other way because he's not a great kick... I don't know if we've got any better...

Bower and Waite should come back in. Walker is already out and Armfield seems like the next in line. Could just as easily be White, I suppose. He's been OK and the only reason you would drop him is because you have Jarrad Waite ready to come back in.

I like the idea of playing Bower on Cloke. He could really do some damage going the other way.

Who plays on Shaw? Moving Gibbs forward would certainly keep him honest... Who had him last time?

Only two things have been asked for:

Get the best out of the team

Consistency

We got the best out of them today, lets just hope we can get consistency.

Are you serious??? Armfield's speed, along with his ability to run the lines and take players on is vital to our set up. He made a couple of mistakes early but after that was nearly BOG. Kept Byrnes to about 5 possessions. IMO he is one of the reasons for a success of the last two weeks. We finally have a mobile and attacking defence which provides numerous attacking options and turns the opposition inside out.

Armfield, Walker, White, Jamo, Gibbs, Lucas, Russell have been a revelation and will worry the hell out of a lot of teams in the future.
