If Geelong play Pod, Mooney and Hawkins I would be inclined to play Henderson in the back line.

Too defensive in my opinion. I would put Walker on one of them and get him to run off. His run will create more run, set the tone and set up more scoring chances than what will get scored against him because of the height difference.

Blokes like Russel Walker and Lucas will need to be on their game for us to have a chance. We need their run but also their ability to play tall. IF they can run off and turn 2 of their big forwards into liabilities we will be half way there.

Be interesting to see if true as he normally doesn't comment on selection!

He's the in-form Carlton-listed midfielder for the Ants along with Grigg.

If true, Hadley is insurance for McLean, and I suspect Waite is insurance for Bower.

Two changes makes sense, but Armfield is an iffy one. Not sharp overhead which limits his match-ups vs the Cats, but not as bad as a certain moment vs Essendon* suggests. White and Robinson for mine; Robinson for reasons I have detailed ad nauseam, White because he didn't play talls particularly well vs the Crows.

It's pretty harsh on White, but it's harsher still on Armfield, who's barely put a foot wrong since coming into the team.

That's because he's never been dropped whilst we were shit all those years he's played.
He's never had to bitch about selection as its always been favourable for him.

Armfield "dropped", ridiculous. Maybe an injury issue.

Armfield "dropped", ridiculous. What are they thinking.

He has saved so many goals due to his unmatched pace.

I doubt Army has been dropped, because he helps to break down the Cats zone with his bravado and pace.

No real surprises so far. But DTers will be annoyed at no outs at this early stage.

Sanity prevails.

Probably a rumour started once again by a fan of Browny's.

I am happy with those inclusions.

Would like to see Hadley and Mclean both in against the bigger bodied Cats. Would mean one of Garlett and Lucas would need to be dropped (both would be harsh after last week) assuming Waite won't actually play (it takes more than 1 game in the Ants to get confidence back if that was the real reason he was dropped) and Robinson is dropped (love the intensity but has been the worst performed player of late IMO)

I reckon only one change. Robinson is out. McLean if fit is in. If not, Hadley. The rest is smoke and mirrors. Ratts is too conservative to toy with a winning streak of one match.

The only doubt I have is White for Waite but was White's game last week really bad enough to drop him, and Waite's good enough to elevate him? Don't think so.

Not a chance in hell they're dropping Lucas or Garlett. Jeff has put on about 5 or 6 kilos since this time last year, is a hell of a lot fitter, and should be given a chance against the Cats after kicking 3.

Looks like it's going to be run vs. height in defence.

Based on the team Geelong have selected, I'm guessing we will line up the same as last week, with Houla playing defensive HF and Walker probably taking Podsiadly.

Under normal circumstances Waite would be playing, but given White has been selected in the team, I doubt Waite will play.

I think our 3 Brothers in arms forward (or Black Magic) will carve up Mackie, Hunt and Milburn. Too fast, too elusive.

We match up pretty well with the Cats, and whilst Cats go in as favourites, for my 50th birthday on Monday I am wishing for a Carlton win at the MCG, and I hope I lose my voice barracking for the Bluebaggers and singin that song Lily of Laguna.

Come on...the Cats are shitting themselves....lets show them up.
It's time they passed the baton back to us...we've given them a fair crack at a few flags.

Yep I agree I could only see Robbo out for McLean from the looks of things. fair enough. We brought McLean in to protect Judd in games like this.... so show us Brock

Close to the club hey? :donk:
There's a reason he doesn't comment on selection it seems.
