Sheesh people if you are happy to criticise when he plays poorly at least give credit where & when it's due. Walker was great today and hopefully his confidence will grow from it.

Well said

83% efficiency with a game high 36 possies, clanger.....schlanger.

He no doubt will be up and down abit form wise over the season but if he can use this year to gradually improve his output and impact on the game, he should be very a handy player in the 22. Has a lot of versatility does 1AW.

Well played

Maybe he saw what happened to Thornton and thought that he'd better pull his finger out because no-one is safe now.

Was great today, and played to his strengths. But if I ever see him doing kick-ins again :yikes:

Maybe the poor bloke hasnt been able to get on the field consistently over the last few years and is starting to find his feet after a complete pre season?

Not the greatest first quarter, got the footy but turned it over badly at least twice and we could have been punished on the scoreboard.

Credit to him though for bouncing back using his pace and athleticism and backing himself to use his non-dominant foot and hitting targets with that foot. Almost better on his left than his right.

Not many cheap stats either - ran hard to be an option off half back many times.

Grew up as a HBF though from memory, often wondered why he wasn't tried here more often and settled there early on. Pushed into midfield too early IMO.

Time to back it up with another strong performance Andrew - you've the ability, no question.

I loved seeing him charge out of that backline today. If there is one thing this team needs its more run & purpose coming out of the back half.

I really hope he can back it up against the cats

*snip*

Walker has played just 13 games in two seasons due to injury.

Why don't we give him some time to get some confidence in his body?

Our structure is a lot better with Walker down back and not Thornton.

he certainly owes the club a decent career now. You know my thoughts, i think he should have been traded before he did his shoulder for the first time. We stuck by him, so it is now time to deliver.

I don't like him and cringed and complained when he kicked the ball in, straight to an opponent..but, he got on with it and I give him the credit he deserves this round.

Keep it up and I may come to like him more

Save for a couple of howlers early, Walks had an excellent game. Right up there for BOG for mine. Those that can't acknowledge that must of been watching a different game. His run and skills were fantastic for the most part.

Couldn't be happier for him. Here's hoping he can continue this sort of form

For mine, a fit and firing Walks adds plenty to our side.

you don't like him????

Bizarre - the kid's been basically out for two years and you don't like him. God no wonder footballers get paid a lot - who'd want this sort of crap at their work place. All - all even a Goddard, @#$%&! up the kick ins occasionally - especially when under pressure, real or imagined, as a young side we feel the pressure a lot more than a Geelong or St Kilda, so we @#$%&! up a few more, but we'll get there and when we do supporters might begin to see the positives a lot more than the negatives.

When Walker's kicking efficiency is consistently 75% or aboive for 6 weeks, I will start to believe in him as a CHB.

Chris Judd, kicking efficiency 74%.

Lucky he's only playing on-ball and not CHB

How does he owe the club when he put his body on the line and as a result sustained two injuries that required shoulder reconstructions?

The kid is one of our best trainers, has a great attitude and has continued to work on his foot skills, which have improved on both sides.

Yeah, and now we want him to lead the kids to our 17th...I expect that from him...he's that good...that's all.

After all we gave pick 2 for him which was our only consolation/concession in the draft for a 3 year period thanks to flower Evans.
