Some commentators have not ruled out calling for Judd's sacking.

That's a disgrace. Fancy Carlton FC paying Fev's wages like that.

I have it on VERY good authority that all the money spent on wine at the local cathedral was paid for by THE CATHOLIC CHURCH! And that the bishop has a tipple of it before breakfast every morning.

I am sure the Sun could translate that into something sinister if they aplied thesame rules.

No we didn't - we deserted "Alcoholic Fev" and "Socially Retarded Fev". "Gambling Addict Fev" was a spin-off from the other two disorders.

Fev to become Carlton's new match day shorts sponsor

Brendan Fevola has gambled and lost so much money at Carlton FC owned pokie venues that the club has announced a new 3 year sponsorship deal with the former player. Fev has pledged to continue gambling for the next 3 years at Carlton run pokie venues and in return he will have his name appear on the rear of the clubs playing shorts.
It is understood the the rear left hand side of the playing shorts will have FEV and the rear right hand side of the playing shorts will have LA in a similar concept that made WOW Jones famous.

I am quite sure the reason for this anti-Carlton stance at the HUN is largely due to the journos being made up of people who would of begun following football in the 70s and 80s, who are still bitter about Carlton beating up their clubs on a regular basis back then. So they still push the angle of 'big bullying all powerful Carlton ripping off the little guys'.

It may not be reality, but it plays up to peoples pre-conceptions.

Storm have been caught salary cap breaching - be prepared for the several thousand articles that mention the Carlton football club's breaches while reporting on this story!

Melbourne Storm have been stripped of two premierships and three minor premierships and fined heaps etc etc. Storm, who share admin offices with Carlton Football Club at Visy Park, were found to have been hiding a secret shame file at hte home of their CEO. Carlton, who were publicly shamed for their salary cap cheating in 2002, started sharing offices with Storm in 2006, right aroudn the time the period of salary cap cheating was said to have begun. Although at this stage it is just a co-incidence, sources claim that officials are looking at the arrangement between the two clubs to see if more than buildings were being shared.

Then lets pull out a reflecting mirror to steer the finger pointing at the Saints.

Waldron did it...he's the expert.

I hope the reporting will be based on how the salary cheating premiers in 1993 were allowed to keep their Premiership.
The AFL should strip the 1993 Premiership from the Bombers and hand it over to the Blues. That'll make the ledger 15-17 and we'll be chasing our 18th.

In that case would we be stripped of the '95 flag ?

Why?

We got penalised in 2002 for rorting the salary cap since we took on O'Reilly and SOS admitted he had been paid in a brown paper bag in recent times; not 7 years prior. O'Reilly wasn't around in the 90's.

You won't hear much out of the HUN on this one - the Storm is owned by News Ltd.

Bla bla bla...what about @#$%&! Essendon* in 1993?

They got caught!
AFL Commissioner Ron Evans gave them a slap on the wrist.
Ron Evans was a Bombers man.
He was the wrong person to hand down the penalty.
He was in charge of the salary rorting.
He was at the Bombers in 1993.

To my knowledge only one club has been found guilty of rorting the AFL cap in a premiership year. They still have that cup sitting in their cabinet.

How long will it be before the salary cap up there gets smashed in court. The NRL clubs simply can't compete with overseas clubs and Rugby Union clubs financially who are not restricted by any Salary Cap. Sonny Bill Williams is a case in point.

Fortunately for us being an indigenous game the AFL doesn't have the same problem.

Stay clear of BigFooty for a while. None of the nuff nuffs on there will understand that Carlton's penalty was based on paying out Stephen O'Reilly, which, to me, was more an act of charity than cheating. Our penalties were brutal. Wish they'd taken all our points for the next two seasons and we'd kept the draft picks. As for the 95 flag, no proof of cheating there, and I suspect there are a lot of the clubs from the 90s with secrets.
