If Walker lines up in defence the whole game, I will be livid.

Why? I believe he has shown some signs the past few weeks and for the good of his career he needs to be able to settle in one spot. I actually like him in the role.

He is decent, but as a key defender he is generally undersized, and good teams will exploit that. I'd prefer him up forward, where he is a match-up nightmare, or in midfield where he can be a marking target as well as provide run.

Houla better lift his contested work on last week's showing. Murphy, Gibbs & Carrazzo too.

Andrew Walker is 190cm with a good leap. Taylor Walker his likely opponent is 192cm. Aside from Tippet who Jamo will probably get the rest of their forwardline this week is sub 188cm.

Regards Cazzesman

he was the better than Warnock in the pre season games and all the guy can do is play well for the ants before he gets the callup.
Warnocks efforts have been nothing short of shithouse.
Jacobs is an excellent palmer of the ball. He deserves to play and Warnock deserves to be dropped.

Dear Kouta and Cazz,

As I said just before, I really hope Ratts has outthought us all but based on his coaching performance to date that is not necessarily the case. As Teddy Jnr. said, if we do win but only because of Juddy's brilliance, it will only continue to mask the deficiencies.

However to everyone else, instead of this forum becoming a lynching mob why don't we wait until Saturday afternoon?

Didn't the Ants play a practice game against a local outfit?

Great to see White given a go.

Sadly Jacobs won't hang around if he keeps missing out.

Not out to lynch anyone here but can anyone explain why Carrazzo the king of turnovers gets rewarded with another senior game this week?? :banghead:

Was worried that Garlett would have replaced Yarran...then I'd really get knarky ;)

Might have a run-with role to keep the dangerous Goodwin honest.

Hmmmmmmmm!

Well, I'm half and half.

Firstly, Waite was rushed back and could probably do with a go in the twos. Thornton was nothing special the other night, but for god sake if were gonna make whipping boys out of these two to prove a point you might as well drop the whole team.

What about walker? He was shocking!
Or Russell? Something like 8 turnovers for the night? Or warnock for just being crap????

Good luck to white. Welcome to the blues!

Is today Friday? :?

I have no problem with Thornton being dropped. We need to move the ball quicker out of defence and he simply can't do it IMO.

Waite? Well he hasn't set the world on fire lately, rumour on radio was he asked to be dropped.

Surely now a message has been sent that nobody is safe if they don't perform or adhere to team instructions. I'm expecting our boys, if they have any pride, to come out and deliver a win this week. Fast, direct football with risks through the middle, time to deliver.

'A' for attitude?
Let's hope S.White has the debut of the century.

Russell 87% disposal efficiency (All 3 games over 83%). Yes he made two mistakes that led to goals, but of the 3 clangers he has recorded against his name 2 were free kicks against.

Walker 47% disposal efficiency, 4 clangers and 0 free kicks against.

You still want to drop Russell? Who are you choosing to take his position?

And we know 1 of those free kicks was incorrect :banghead:

If you wanted to make a statement you should have dropped Carrazzo. He was less than useless last week. Robinson, too. He brought plenty of intensity, but little else.

I sat at the gate and actually thought Robbo wasn't that bad, he certainly tried to move the ball fwd which is not what I can say for Mr Chip-it-Sideways-at-every-Opportunity Thornton

I don't know why people are calling for Robbo to be dropped. He has a fair dinkum crack, and his skills are quite good, especially in heavy traffic. I love having him in the side.

no..... I didn't say I'd drop Jordan Russell! *sigh* god, you say one negative thing about JR on this site and you cop it!

I was proving a point. If were dropping players to make a statement then we might as well drop the whole team!
Why not drop setanta for looking silly kicking for goal the other night? Why - cause he's our leading goal kicker!
We need players like Waite and Thornton! They are cruicial! But we need them playing properly. That's the coaching staffs role. And if they think that these guys would benifit from a week in the twos then so be it!
But, and this goes back to my original statement, if they're dropping them to prove a point, then drop the whole team - cause they were all crap the other night!

So are you saying the MC should have dropped the whole team?

Just a general question!!!!

How will people feel after this game? In theory we should beat a side that couldn't even beat Melbourne. So if we do, have we stepped up?

If we lose, will it be because Adelaide were due to win, or we never beat Adelaide? Or was it our selections?

One way or another I will be very interested in people's reactions come 5.00pm Saturday! :yikes:

On paper our backline is the worst I have seen in years.

B: Simon White, Michael Jamison, Aaron Joseph
HB: Dennis Armfield, Andrew Walker, Jordan Russell

Only one tall. Pity Bower hasn't come up. Not sure why Thornton is out.... really baffling. But it might be a good wake up call from him.

Ratten will be called a genius if we win this week.... and I don't have to state the obvious if we lose.

No problems with Waite getting confidence and match fitness in the two's.

I'm scared we're gonna get pumped but I'm the ultimate optimist... so I think we can win.

If we lose, goodbye finals and hello development year.

But Ryan we can't drop the whole team. Look Waite asked to be dropped and thornton is the 3rd tall and behind jamo n bower and takes forever to move the ball n should be phased out. Santy was poor but tops the goal kicking n club are commited to giving warnock a decent run

I'm happy with the outs and the ins.

Now lets see us go through the guts with the @#$%&! ball and hit targets and kick goals!
