Adelaide can turn up with their SNFL team and still beat us comfortably. This is has been the miserable story of our Club.

Players out of form suddenly find form and kill us

Unkown players who never played a game kill us and kick bags on us

then you suddenly realize its not about the opposition and who plays or doesn't. Its about our bloody miserable list and players who are lazy and unwilling to change their habits.

Carlton's Culture is sicking and it needs to change. These players earn easy money but don't know the value of wearing a Navy Blue Jumper.

Pathetic

Well i just think this game is going to give a better and clearer picture of where CFC sits
and hoping like hell the last loss was an aberration and a wake up call for plenty of the players.
It dont matter who your playing, if you aint 100% switched on, you will struggle.

So, they get another shot at redemption and another shot at hoodoo breaking.

No doubt that C Judd will make a big difference and would love to have Bower
back too as that changes our dynamics down back.

Like other posters have said, sure maybe we got lucky by them losing 4 players
for next week, but some random turkeys will climb out from under a rock and
play the game of their frickin life, like that spud Moran did.

I just want to see some passion, some pride, some steel..... and quickly !!!!

Ins
Judd
Wiggins
Garlett
Hadley

Out
Robinson
Mclean
Houlihan
Walker

The above isnt what i would choose, but what i reckon they might do
I would give Warnock a spell, Jacobs should play as he can mark a sitter
and his tap work is good, Warnock couldnt catch a cold.
But to drop him might represent egg on their face, so yeah, they probably wont !
Wiggins is a certainty i reckon, and may do a better job than Robinson.
Walker ? Apart from game 1, has he ever been in our 3 best players for
any other game ? Ever ??? Supposed to be over his injuries now ?
Hadley for Mclean, though a worry on wide open spaces of AAMI.
Garlett is more dangerous near goal than Houlihan, so why not ?
They might even revert to C Johnson again, for his "laser-like" (sic) passes ?

In a way, the whole club is "lucky" they have another bogey to overcome this week.
The media wont be into us as it will all be about Freo, Malthouse, Riewoldt etc.

So FFS Carlton show some testicular fortitude and just have a red hot go !

not wanting to get involved in the Ratts thing BUT if we had appointed Harvey as coach of Carlton over the summer how many on here would have been happy with the appointment?

Looking forward to this one, to get the ledger back on par. Will be nice to have the game played under blues skies for a change. Judd back in will be awesome. And Wiggins hopefully too.

Would he have gone through a thorough interview process?

Good point. We went the 1970s route and appointed an old boy after Voss turned us down. Ratts is a great Carlton man, but if he was to be appointed as coach it needed to be an appointment (ag all opposition in a fair and thorough process), not an annointment.

Riley is the only guy with significant coaching experience. Teague, Lappin, Monty all had none and Ratts, the senior coach had a year as an AFL assistnat and then 2nd divvy suburban. Doesn't mean he can't coach, but why didn't we have a thorough process that involved looking seriously outside the club. And why was Lappin appointed again? Because it was a carrot to get him to retire? Knights is no one's idea of a coach but he out coaches our guys. After two and a half years you want the players to look like they understand the game plan. Anyone work out what the plan was last night? Anyone know why the players implemented whatever it was so poorly? This is a huge game. We could have been 3-0 but now might be 1-8. If we play the dreadful Crows back in to form Ratts will be under really serious pressure. He really needs to show that he can get the best out of the players.

We have no more excuses left if Freeo and the Dons go past us. We have had the cream of the draft over 6 years, our facilities are now the best around, we got Chris Judd, the footy dept is well resourced. It's time to deliver or change. It doesn't mean we win every week, but that at least we are competitive and have a coherent plan.

If we are losing badly, I'm tuning the radio to 5AA for a laugh. Might as well listen to the commentators (with that Eddie McGuire sound-a-like) give out some man love to the Adelaide players...although with Tippett possibly out, wonder who their new idol will be...

We. Must. Do. This.

Lucky Eddie stuffed up, his shiny new tank should allow him to have many more spurts in the middle. Easily one of our best clearance players, uncanny at centre bounces.

Agree some of us have been advocating playing gartlett with yarran and betts for the last 10 months
At least gartlett has some magic and kicks goals

I agree! On Saturday night I nudged my mate to point out that Eddie was in the middle and straight away he was onto the ball in a flash!
Mix it up, make some moves. The crows like predictability - mess with their heads!

We need to make sure we kill Maric in the ruck. Whoever is rucking needs to have a big game. If Warnock won't put in the hard yards then give Sammy a crack

Walker should only remain in the team if they want to throw him forward. If they can't do that, then I'd leave Houlihan in the team and chop out Walker. We have no use for him in the back half, and I honestly believe he doesn't enjoy a regular role down there.

So that's:

IN: Judd, Garlett Jacobs, Hadley*
OUT: Walker/Houlihan, Robinson, Warnock, McLean*

I would not want Harvey but their recruiting staff should be walking in and asking for pay rises. They have picked up some pretty decent players in the last couple of years and with our help.

Judd barely gets a kick against Adelaide at AAMI.

It's a good thing Robert Shirley got the arse, but If i see Judd playing the bottom of the pack battering ram dishing it out I'll spew. There's a long list of others who didn't win a hard ball last week due to actually GET THE FOOTY FIRST.

Crows comfortably.

I expect we will kick no more than 6 goals and probably lose by 6-8 goals. Standard fare against the crows in Adelaide
