I havent posted for a long time but I cant hold my tongue anymore.

I have enough knowledge in football to understand that we might go backwards this year because our list is still growing.

But when you have a coach who has no idea after three years and its Essenddon same game plan against us and we dont even get close. that has to be telling you something!!! I couldnt handle the Pagan era and there is no way I am going to handle the Ratts era. This level is too much for him and it has showed for a long time.

Dont know what is wrong with GIbbs he hasnt seemed interested all year.

Warnock( needs a rest), Walker needs to back to the reserves he is at the crossroads and Robinson(ratts pet) needs to go back to reserves and not to come back until he starts to think about his footy but it wont happen.

Very frustrated and disappointed!!!!

We give them FAR TO MUCH SPACE through the centre, and for Ratten to KNOW that the use pace, you would think he would have learnt the last time.

Walker and Jordan Russell were poor tonight. Went at it at 50% and didn't seem to give a !@#$%&. Their turnovers cost us!

Warnock..............AGAIN........... is a complete SPUD! All those haters who criticised me for saying it last week - What do you have to say now huh? My god!

Kreuzer, Murphy & Gibbs - VERY DISSAPOINTING! - Murphy was well held all night but even still, i expect better from those three.

Setanta was way down on form - but at least he tried. Made mistakes, but didn't stand about with hands on hips like a few other players!

Simpson was really the only player that could keep his chin up. Went at it all night like a true soldier.

Cleary, you haven't learnt from last year. We need direction playing through the middle and we need a kick-out structure that actually looks PLANED and not thought of on the spare of the moment. We need to have forwards home instead of flooding up the ground when we're 3 goals down. We Need STRUCTURE> cause right now, i don't think we have ANY.

Good teams don't play well one week and shit the next, and that seems to be the way we've played for 3 years now.

Questions regarding Ratten are now Justified in my opinion. We're stuck with him through the season, so he's got 18 more games in which to prove us wrong - and I hope he does - but the questions are indeed justified. You can't deny that!

Correct Ryan...we go out there and have no plans in place....Ratts's coaching strategy as far as I can see...is this...RE-ACTIVE...he reacts and does not proact....he doesn't go in with a plan to win...he goes into a game hoping to be able to stop the other team from doing whatever it is he thinks they are doing....he needs to start working out what we are supposed to be doing..on every line...plans structures and clear strategies coming out of defence going foward etc...getting sick of repeating his deficiencies...very ordinary coach....

Only saw it on tv, but we seemed to be second to the ball on every occasion! No skill in execution and only a few boys worked for 4 quarters.

How can this be?? It was completely embarrasing a number of times we passed it to the bumbers as if they were playing in the blue jumper, when we were under very little pressure?

Ratts has some work to do to bury these mental demons we carry against this mob, and he is fast running out of excuses for being beaten by this scum for the 6th straight game.

Simpson, Yarran, Henderson, Kane, werent great but tried hard, the rest were below average.

including our leaders in carrots, waite, Scotland, and Houla and did Gibbs forget to turn up, his worst performance so far I reckon.

I'm not jumping off the bridge just yet even though that was pretty darn awful. Half expecting to hear that a dozen players went into the game with the flu as that's what it looked like. I think we only need to tweak a couple of things and I expect 2 changes for next week.

Given Adelaide's performace to date we should beat them by 43.

Flu and home ground factors we'll beat them by 42.

I agree about Setanta.
He just isn't going to develop a football brain to AFL standard.

From all reports Casboult is too far off.

We need to get Austin fit again and back into the team. It's time for him to contribute as we desperately need something else

If we keep that up, we'll finish bottom 4.

Going to be an ugly season I fear.

It is amongst the worst losses in 35 years supporting the club.
This group can not form the basis of premiership side. Writing is on the wall.
Coaching Panel isn't experienced or lateral enough. It was always going to be Hille and Watson
Watson- you pick Hadley with Mclean
Hille- Maybe Krooz is always going to struggle against big bodied Ruckman
Kreuzer had to be tried forward tonight
Armfield, Carazzo, Walker, can't play in the sameside because they can not kick
20 other things I could add but I am just gutted

SB think you hit the nail on the head, was hoping Brock would harden us up.
How do Geelong and Saints get over the top of faster sides, By crash Bash footy that wears them out. We just have NO hardness
Flower me it aint rocket science - a bit of Hawthorn "un-soicable football" wouldn't go astray. Watch the hammering at the hands of the Crow next week :banghead:
Was so hopeful going in....

I think it's clear for all to see that there's a major issue with mental application.

We just cannot deal with the expectation of winning. It's been going on for years and we should be over it by now.

That goes down in my books as just about the most disappointing loss since our 1st spoon.

Maybe Pratt Jr or Jeanie can give us some more $$ for a permanent Sports Pyschology wing. God knows we need it

How about a special hyperbaric, hypoallergenic, supacallafradgalistic room full of these:

Haven't read the other threads - but does anyone know if Brock went in with an injury?? If he didn't pick it up in the game, I find it strange we didn't have Hadley on standby.... His chop out would surely have been better than what seemed to be a restricted Brock....

Bower if ready, PressurePoint, Hadley and Hammer/Jacobs for Lucas, Mclean, Warnock(cannot take a mark to save himself, cant believe we are paying him 300k+ and chased him so hard) and one of Tex or Robbo.

Not gonna post for a couple of days, nothing positive to say and am absolutely devastated with the loss and how shit we played.

Dont blame ratts, Knights has his measure ( and then some)!

Suck it up princesses, losing to Bendigo aint that bad.

Yeah let's just stick with the guy with the runs on the board...its the players fault....lets get rid of some of them and re-cycle the team once more and go from there...

Essendon* get a huge buzz out of beating us ... I don't think our players have much hurt that corresponds with this, otherwise we would have rolled them ... this on paper would be the worst football team I have seen Essendon* put on the park ... judging by the way we come out from the beginning it appears to me that we were never really up for it.

Besides a serviceable debut from Lucas there was little to be impressed by.

Ratten is falling for the same Essendon* trick time and time again.

On our players ... why do we have so many players on our list that are terrible with their disposal, have a poor first contact with the football, lack footy smarts and lack running instinct.

And finally ... can our match committee start selecting on merit !

now, i'm normally a glass is half full kind of guy... BUT... our inability to get a win over Essendon* in recent times, is really trying my patience. We get suckered into playing the game on their terms, every single time! this time is particularly galling because this was a very average Essendon* side, but full credit to them, they managed to get themselves up for this game, and we didn't.
I'm a Ratts fan, and i really want him to succeed (obviously) but i'm beginning to doubt that he has the ability to implement a game plan that gets the best out of our team.
