I don't want to sound too much like a Collingwood supporter but I don't think the umpires helped us too much!

I love Aussie Rules but some of the so called rules and the way they are interpreted made me wanna flick over to the Bulldogs - Warriors game on Foxtel! Much simpler game to watch (as is the round ball game).

Just like the Brisbane games, and the StKilda games, we do not change a single thing! That game was IDENTICAL to the first game with Essendon* last year.

We give them FAR TO MUCH SPACE through the centre, and for Ratten to KNOW that the use pace, you would think he would have learnt the last time.

Walker and Jordan Russell were poor tonight. Went at it at 50% and didn't seem to give a @#$%&!. Their turnovers cost us!

Warnock..............AGAIN........... is a complete SPUD! All those haters who criticised me for saying it last week - What do you have to say now huh? My god!

Kreuzer, Murphy & Gibbs - VERY DISSAPOINTING! - Murphy was well held all night but even still, i expect better from those three.

Setanta was way down on form - but at least he tried. Made mistakes, but didn't stand about with hands on hips like a few other players!

Simpson was really the only player that could keep his chin up. Went at it all night like a true soldier.

RATTEN-
Cleary, you haven't learnt from last year. We need direction playing through the middle and we need a kick-out structure that actually looks PLANED and not thought of on the spare of the moment. We need to have forwards home instead of flooding up the ground when we're 3 goals down. We Need STRUCTURE> cause right now, i don't think we have ANY.

Good teams don't play well one week and shit the next, and that seems to be the way we've played for 3 years now.

Questions regarding Ratten are now Justified in my opinion. We're stuck with him through the season, so he's got 18 more games in which to prove us wrong - and I hope he does - but the questions are indeed justified. You can't deny that!

umpiring was flabbergasting, but we should have won despite them.
We were richmondesque tonight

OH - and quite possibly the most piss-poor performence from the umpires i have seen in a long time.

Well.....

I think it's clear for all to see that there's a major issue with mental application.

We just cannot deal with the expectation of winning. It's been going on for years and we should be over it by now.

That goes down in my books as just about the most disappointing loss since our 1st spoon.

Agreed. Add Simmo to that list as well.

How can we have that many kicks out on the full?

Whilst watching the game I imagined being coach and asking all the squad to promise me that at senior level they would never kick the ball out on the full again. If you can't promise me that, then you don't play. If you promise me that, and do it again, you earn 4 weeks in the reserves.

I am calling it now: we will not win 13 games again.
I think 10 wins may be a good guess.

Trying not to let dissapointment cloud my opinion of ratts and the boys.

At least we know what Richmond supporters feel like everytime they turn up and get the same sh#t dished out every time

Carlton looked like they just didnt want to be there. You could see it from the start but hoped they would switch it on as some point. They did improve a little at the end of the third but didnt convert it into score.

Kreuzer had his worst game for years. Waite was ordinary. Murphy battled hard but was tagged out of it. Gibbs nothing. Walker, Houlahan, Scotland, Satanta, Carazzo all didnt get out of first gear. Intensity at an all time low.

Gutted but looking forward to seeing how we go next week. Not fussed about a win but i would like a glimpse of some heart.

Maybe Pratt Jr or Jeanie can give us some more $$ for a permanent Sports Pyschology wing. God knows we need it

Yet they didn't hand off Richardson.

Its the little things we don't do that annoy me.
- run back quickly when we mark or get a free kick to gain some time and dispose quickly
- we don't shepard properly, our work off the ball and when we dispose of it is not there
- no desperation in our tackles
- no hard running into space

- Ratts is too slow to make moves, the TV camera focused on Ratts just after a turnover that caused a goal and he took off his headset and basically gave up , no instruction to bring the player off for a bollocking.

- the move to bring Waite back was too late and would have been a better match up on Ryder early, he was last line of defence at times when he should have been a CHB (missed Bowers dash) , try Thorton forward for a while and put Setanta on the wing...........do something to shake things up......create some miss-matches, walker on gumby was useless, height miss match, try warnock forward to take Fletcher to the square etc.

- even manning the mark, the scum are disciplined to ensure they stop us getting a run on.even doing star jumps to distract us.
- we were out numbered around the stoppages enough we had more clearances, a lot of these went to a scum's hand just after the clearance cause they hunted in packs and we were jogging behind the play.

We play dumb footy , get confused and panic cause we don't offer any options as we don't work hard enough off the ball.

They were cramping up in the end because they worked harder, we were seen to have hands on hips.

I thought we were lazy, too confident which caused a lack of intensity which caused all our turnover problems. Forward line would work if we moved the ball quicker and Ratts was smart enough to create miss matches.

Though Lucas showed something and Simpson too me looked like the only bloke who was prepared to have a go.

Can't wait to have Juddy back setting an example. Ratts should do a Knights and drop some of the lazy flowers we had.........

This place is going to go into meltdown ... I mean cmon Ratts WTF!

How many times do we have to play into Essendon*'s hands?

AGAIN they owned the flowering corridor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Geez the skills were that of a bottom 4 side ... 10 of Essendon*'s 13 goals were from turnovers! I mean yeah I am furious and probably not thinking clearly but I just cannot believe we lost to those f#*@kers again!

What kills me is that I think we have the cattle but do not have the coaching staff. I mean taking the ball from HB into attack was just diabolical. Who the hell are our skills coaches ... tweedle dee and tweedle dumb?

I am so bloody angry that I am going to stop before I turn into the flower HULK ... AAARGGGGHHHHHHH

Too late!

Knights plays the corridor as he knows our skills are poor, and any turnover in that area results in easy goals. They always seemed to have a spare man at the outside of contests too. Just all too easy for them.

Thats the point Mil ... Ratts fell for the same cr@p from that Albino again! Not only that but he could not even get the team up to play for this most important of fixtures. Our skills are just bloody shocking.

I mean WOW Dennis Armfield on Williams at Fullback? Lose man all night? Russle with kick ins?

Just aweful, aweful, aweful from the coach right down to the boot studder .... I want a different jumper for next week ... except for a couple of blokes the rest do not deserve to wear the navy blue!

Very disappointing game.
I really can't see that we looked like we cared enough tonight - did we take too much emphasis off the game?? (Did we even really play it down?)

For the number of times we were clear, or setting it up - and just squandered possession - extremely disappointing.....

I was a comfortable we'd moved forwards last week - this week I am not - I really really really hope Ratts calls some players on this week's effort.

I can't remember being this flat since the Brisbane 100 plus game....

Never been so disappointed to be a Carlton member. Absolutely gutted.

That was bottom 4 type stuff tonight.

Such a huge game with the season pretty much on the line. Disgraceful.

I fully admit that I'm currently still livid however.....HEADS.MUST.ROLL.

WOW, hard to sit a watch that crap, very angry  Gibbs - not sure where he plays but should have put him in the middle and see if he can create some opportunities
Murphy - Surely someone could have given him a chop out with Welsh - happened last night to Jones, but no-one at the blues willing to sacrifice their game.
We certainly look much worse without Bower.
Walker out of his depth on taller players, but did try
Just no run, carry, chances taken, structure etc
Carrazzo shooting for goal WTK :banghead: Henderson, had chances but didn't take them
Time for a few changes:
206, please give me someone else, just ordinary
Robo, might be intense, but would help if he could get the ball...
I'm sure there are a few others - but just still in too much of a state of shock and anger :hitcomputer:
