Anyone remember who took out Lonergan's kidney?

Fev also took about Whitnall for half a season around 2001-2003?

and Fisher

Fisher copped a dose of Fev (which resulted in long term injuries) on more then one occasion if I recall correctly.

I read this as 'Im better off now that Fevola has gone'. He's never been able to cover Fev and Fev had single-handedly defeated the Pies a few times over the years.

I think Malthouse is happy.

You raise an interesting point Molsey.

On the one hand he is arguing how it is not good to rely on one fwd, but reality is that one fwd single handed took his 22 to the cleaners more than once

2002 V Melbourne at Docklands, ended Lance Whitnall's season (when Lance was still good and winning the b&f by a street, but his injury enabled Corey McKernan to win it).

2001 - MCG - SOS's 300th Vs Richmond - Fev crashes into Massie breaking his leg ending his CFC career. He also injured himself and was out for several weeks.

So Fevola has broken O'hAilpin's ribs, smashed Whitnall's shoulder, and Fisher's, and broke Massies' leg?

You guys are funny.

He's taken out plenty more opposition players whilst playing THE BALL! He was a flower off the field but alluding to him sniping his own team mates is some of the dumbest shit I've ever read on here and that's saying something.

I was at both those games and remember them clearly, i don't know whether fev ruined whitnall's career because the pace was getting too quick for him in the end, but it definately didn't help either of them in those situations.

No one's saying he sniped his own team mates but he often turned colour blind when the ball came his way. Fev basically plays the game the way he lives his life. It's Fev first and unfortunately others often get hurt in the process.

I am with you on this one Game. Pagan taught him to launch at the ball. I remember the interview. He wanted him launch at it like good FF do. Pagan said he was good but he wont be a star until he learnt how to do it.

I agree with Malthouse. In the long run we will be better off without Fev.

Duke, can you explain the incident and how it was Fev's fault?

Or are we just going to pin every Carlton injury on the guy?

Look, Im glad Fev is gone too. In the long run we'll be a much better side without him, but this reminds me of the Pagan situation a few years ago...plenty of reasons to want the guy gone, lets stick to those and not go inventing some more, it only detracts from what we're saying.

I'm as happy that Fev is gone as anyone, and I remember the Whitnall 2002 incident, but I'm sure this Massie one was not Fev's fault. My memory of it was a hospital pass from Freeborn, Massie standing underneath it and getting crunched by a Richmond player.

I do remember when Fisher got injured. I also remember people on here saying that would teach him to not get into Fevola's space in the future.

I wish I knew how to be a fickle supporter.

Cant accuse all of us being fickle - Not only have I always thought he was Warwick Capper Mk2 he has followed his lead and ended up and Brissy - I wonder if his career will fizzle as fast as Cappers did when he went north

Lets just hope we dont do what the Swans did and bring him back

We really should be chasing a really great coach, like Malthouse....or someone who really knows how to coach forwards, like Buckley....
