History is not a bad thing. It's what makes a rivalry. Rivaly stemmed from decades of on field battles. Why do we dislike teams like Essendon*, Collingwood and Richmond so much? It's because there have been countless good ol' fashion footy matches played between us. Some we have won, and some we have lost (and aren't we glad the winning ratio is in our favour ).

Without that history, we wouldn't be so pumped up against teams like the bombers.

On Saturday, another piece of history will be etched between two proud sides. Of course I want the Blues to kill em'...absolutely smash em'! But history tells me I need to carefully manage my expectations. Anything can happen on Saturday.

I don't want to tempt fate here, but does Davey ever really do anything? He has only ever got over 20 possessions once in his career and averages less than a goal a game.
