This might be incredibly pre-mature, but strike me if I'm not the only one who has a gut feel WH & Co did really well with their Rookie selections last year.

I like others have been impressed by what I have seen with Donaldson. Looks like a taller version of Radiohead's Thom Yorke and needs to add muscle to his skinny frame, but by jingoes he looks to have something. Looks quick for a tall and I like what I read about him looking very impressive as a young fwd.

And White sounds like he is ready to go for senior football.

And while he needs time, I think all who saw him in the practice game at VISY park were impressed by Levi's marking abilities.

All bodes well hopefully for the long term for the CFC, well done to the club

COudnt agree more..............and you can add Labi to that list'.
I had my first glimpse of these guys yesterday in the magoos praccy.
Correct re White.Very strong bodied and a good reader of play.Reckon he could adjust to the quicker tempo of senior footy.
To me,Hendo and Irish are manafactured forwards.Donaldson on the other hand looks like that he was born to play there. And natoral forwards with an instinct for the big sticks are gold for mine.He wasnt the best player in the praccy match, but he had that look about him.I really hope our coaching staff are giving this kid intensive one on one coaching as i really liked what i saw yesterday.
Levi i havent yet seen as he did not play yesterday. But he has that ability to take a contested mark and find the bigsticks which are the hallmarks of a bon forward.
WH and Cazz have there critics which is fair enough. But i reckon they are far more astute than there critics would have you believe.

What are Casboult and Donaldson doing, but filling in KPP roles?

Beo, I think Don was being sarcastic.

Agree with all that's been said and watch Cachia and Dare's space they weren't our #1 and #2 rookie picks for nothing :yikes:

We seemed to have big a good mix from the 2009 draft, but I think overall the club has done well in the rookie draft for the past decade.

Names like Thornton, Jamison, O'hAilpin and Carrazzo have become key players to our on field structure. Two of the above are even considered leaders. Thornton has already played his 150 games and I'd expect the other 3 to do the same.

Joseph, Jacobs and Garlett are proving to be more than useful as well.

Was speaking to some Bullant's boys after saturdays win.
They're very very positive for the year ahead. Seem to think the team will be a considerable improvement from last years and mentioned they were very impressed by the rookies selected this year.... as well as the ND draft selections obviously.

Said they fitted in perfectly and singled out Donaldson as being very promising. Said he just presented like a quality forward should. Also said White could/should be playing seniors if another tall defender is required. He's a step above VFL.
Also mentioned Garlett is a freak and did some things on Saturday that footy players just arent capable of doing. Said he kicked 7 in the Bullants 125 point win.

Yes but it sounds like the sarcasm of a desperate man which is fair enough, I suppose. :?
