Drummond awaits him .. I hope so anyway.

Why play defensive on Drummond? Make him be accountable on Yarran or Robbo and at the same time give us greater attacking options.

Not with Drummond. He will do more damage to us then what RObbo and Yarran would do to them IMO.. Patful is the one to be made accountable. He is playing a similar role to Drummond last year and Drummond seems to be more of a mid now.

OK ... well ... Our biggest danger this week is Black. Every time he plays us he turn in a blinder. We have got to stop him first and foremost. Not sure whether Gibbs is the answer but someone has to negate him. If that happens we will win the midfield battle and probably the match.

If the lions get control of midfield I think we will be murdered.

I can see Waite taking care of Patful in that regard. Still not sold on playing Anderson on Drummond yet, Anderson on Brennan?

Probably a good match up in terms of the athletic ability they both have.. (well no one can match Brennan) I don't know if Anderson has the running ability to keep up with him. I was thinking Walker on Brennan. Brennan may be a little too sly for Anderson but I guess if your not going to give the young guys an opportunity to shine and take responsibility they wont grow as players.

Happy to see Joey retain his place. Hopefully they're going to give him an extended run to allow him to adjust to the pace and to feel comfortable at this level.

I reckon the unpredictability of our forward line will work to our advantage in this game and for most of the season...the only concern is how we come up after an easy win last week....does Ratts have the guys in a mature enough state of mind to come up again this week and take it to a whole new level...which is what is required to win at the Gabba...we will see..

Do you reckon the MC is going to give Joe Anderson an extended run as they did with JR. Worked once didn't it? But I don't think Joe has the same potential.

Forget the Fev sideshow. If the boys are not mentally ready for this game after the disaster of last Sept, then we've got the wrong group of players representing our club.

Good call. Like Ando, JR had size and pace but used to butcher it and seem very uncertain etc. I reckon they have decided to give him a real go.

Few Factors will affect the outcome of this game & it is tempting me to Tip our Blue boys for a big upset:

1- The Lions have a 5 day Turn around time. This is not enough time for recovery and must have an impact on the fitness of the lions players

2- given that it will be wet and close in trenches, this should Further tire the Lions players.

3- Some of their players are carrying some sort of injuries such as addcock and Miguire so that should work in our favor.

If we can stay with them at half time, We are with a big chance because we should be running all over them after half time.

That would be our number 1 and 2 key defenders out against the strongest key forward pair in the comp :yikes:

But then if we won it would really say something!
