Kind of off the topic but does anyone know any good pubs in the CBD to watch the game at?

Will be won in the middle...if Fev and Brown get enough decent supply no backline will stop them.

Mitch Clark has been too good in previous games and we need to match the physcial way he goes about his business, if Kruezer and Warnock have weakness its vs the more physical type ruckman.

Gibbs vs Black....Gibbs can stop Black but still get the footy himself.
AJ vs Power....underated is Power and sets up a lot of Brisbane goals.
Walker on Brennan....Brennan carved up WC and has been good against us, awkward player with his size and freakish skills.
AW is best equipped to keep him to a average game.
Sherman vs Russell.....Sherman is a frontrunner finisher and I think the close checking, good tackling JR can slow him down.

Ins Garlett and Grigg
Outs Bower (inj), Anderson

Joe battled last week and I would prefer the harder edged Grigg vs Brisbane.
Eddie will probably get McGrath and Yarran might get Raines.....both like to run off their men and Garlett not only can kick goals but he tackles well for a little bloke and might help keep the ball in he forward 50.

A tough draw ahead and two teams in Bris/Ess who are competing with us for a position in the bottom end of the top eight IMHO....we need to beat them and set our season up....if we are the real deal we will.

Blues by 17 points....

Look I don't know if Bower is out or not but surely the boys must have already left for Brisbane? Someone has to know if Bower went with them?

I can appreciate Carlton keeping it quiet about Bower but if he is really out for 4-6 weeks there is no way he would be travelling to Brisbane.

I don't see why Carlton would play games like this. Its not like Ratts to BS around with injuries etc.

If this is a one week injury then I can understand him playing games, but for a 4-6 weeker it seems a little unusual.

Maybe they don't want to announce it because Bower is planning to take "a fall" while boarding the plane and then sue QANTAS (or who ever the players fly with these days) for the insurance money

Or maybe he's fine ..................................

Maybe it's a reverse ploy, you know, make Voss n Co think Bower won't play

EM: Armfield Browne Jacobs

If Bower doesn't come up and Army still isn't 100%... Browne will play.

If it's wet, that's actually a pretty flexible side.

Don't mind us sticking with Ando for another week. He is tough and quick, just wish his skills were better. Let's hope he takes another match saving mark tommorrow night

If it's wet and stormy; Brisbane will feel right at home, being their wet season.

Did y'all hear Fevola say last week that "It's hard to mark the ball up here with the dew (humidity) making the ball slippery" ?
