My stab is Grigg or white in for PB

Won't risk forward balance by moving Waite back and compromise Kruezer role as ruck rover

OUT Bower IN Armfield is my guess.

We will play with two talls back flanked by Walker and Russell. When we go all tempo on them Waite will drop behind the ball. Otherwise he will play forward.

If White is to come in, the paperwork to have him elevated will have to be submitted in the next few hours. Chances are we'll hear news of it before teams come out.

Credit to the original poster. My mail from a credible source is Bower will in fact miss 4-6 weeks with a leg injury sustained on the weekend.
The club has endeavoured to keep it quiet to "throw" Brisbanes plans out but the word was out by Saturday night. I'd be very surprised if we dont bring in another KPP with Brisbane playing 3 talls up front.
Take that as you will.

Just can’t get this back line settled, can we.

This is going to hurt, not just for this game either.

That's a big blow if true.

It's a shame Austin isn't up and running at the moment...

If Bower is looking at a month+ on the sidelines, I'd promote White to senior list (for Fisher or ROK?) - he's looked promising in the VFL as a tall/medium defender.

Again, if true, we have plenty of options to consider.

My favourite would be dropping Anderson along with Bower to bring in Armfield and one of White or Davies. White would be elevated for Fisher.

Would prefer that Waite remain up forward to help stretch Brissys defence, therefore if we need 3 tall in defence then White has to come in.
Get well Paul Bower.

This is a terrible blow for our structure. Davies impressed in the challenge matches that I saw although White seems to have settled in quickly as well. It's good recruiting that we have some backup considering Austin is out as well.

I was feeling confident until BV chimed in with his mail. Bugger.

Could Joey play the third tall option? This would allow us to bring Army in for his pace.

Pace isn't the issue with White & Davies, nor is height. They're athletic enough to be the third tall without any issue. Both have a sound kick on them as well, but I would rate White as the better at marking his man, while Davies is better on the rebound.

Of course the MC might go in another direction completely and bring in Hampson or Jacobs to toss Kreuzer and Warnock into the forward mix, sending Waite down back. I still feel Armfield needs to come in for Anderson no matter what. His attacking runs will take some of the workload Bower had in last week's game.

Sorry, I haven't seen any email.
My mail however came from what I believe to be a very credible source.

Bower has been named for this week with no likely replacement in the emergencies

We're obviously playing silly buggers because he's been named with no White as an emergency.

Yep this won't be settled until the team runs out on the night.

So, no one is close enough to have spoken to Paul directly? Or maybe seen the team train?

When do the boys fly over to Brisbane (if they haven't already)

Will be interesting to see if Bower flys up and how he looks when he gets there
