Is this game on Live on Ch 7 in Melbourne as it indicates the game starts at 7.40pm?

I heard from SEN (I know...I know...) yesterday that this will be shown live.

I really hope you are right exsing,as I saw the ads on ch7 during Game Day and they were saying at 8.30pm after The *&* BouncE!!
What do you do when it's on I hour delay....do you listen to the radio while taping..or just pretend its starting when it's on TV...
it is sooo annoying.it just ruins it.
I'll try and find out which time it is.

This game is a big test for our midfield defensively. If they do not close down Brisbanes run through the middle then we are stuffed. Fev and Brown combined and given uncontested delivery will be too much for a defence that will be working its butt off to shut them down.

If we win the midfield battle we win the game. Pretty simple really.

I agree. Battle of the midfields. With Judd I'd be confident, but without it will be tough. Big 206 will be a bonus for us this time around.

Have they got any of their mids out??
(Besides Buchanan)

I think this will be a big test - not sure if the rain will help us that much, but it can't hurt.
Maybe we should play both McLean and Hadley and rotate them in the wet conditions?

While everyone is thinking about Brown/Fev, the man to stop based on his round 1 form is Brennan - playing a dynamic midfield role where he can use his height and athleticism to sprint away from stoppages. He is no longer an inconsistent half forward.

Assuming Bower's right, we can have him worrying about Waite, or stick Walker on him. Alternatively we can bring in Grigg, White or Davies.

I'd like to see Walker given an accountable role on Brennan this week. I think he has the speed and height to go with him.

As good as Brennan can be under real pressure he is prone to trying to do too much resulting in poor disposal (and turnovers). In some respects I could be describing Walker here. It's a match up that just might work.

Without putting too much thought into the prospect of this match up, it seems worthy of consideration.

..not only that, but i don't think Brennan is half as hard a player as Walker is..

No doubt they will try and stretch us with Brennan, Leuey, Clarke and Staker so I guess we will need a 3rd tall. I presume it will either be Waite or Walker. We don't have many other options with Austin still injured. Maybe White could be bought up for Fisher (LTI) at a pinch. By all accounts he has been good on the track and in the VFL.

I think having Waite up forward for as long as possible will make it easier for Carlos and Hendo.

So Bower is indeed injured?

   Walker is tough. Plus, while Brennan can often sprint away from opponents, Walks is also faster.

No idea. I was only going on the suggestion he was out that was in The Age.
