I think George Harris' post in that thread is about the first time I have read a serious comment about how Carrots should get a NRS nomination.

Is he still eligible?

There is still romance in football when a kid can barrack for Carlton his whole life, play footy in the backyard where he is Sticks or SOS and dream of captaining Carlton one day.
Then he gets overlooked in the draft, gets rookied by one of the enemies who probably decided to give him the flick. He gets a chance at his boyhood club, works his arse off and then one day leads the team as captain to a big win against a traditional rival.

How good is Carazzo!!

Agree buzz. A wonderful role model and very well spoken when I've heard him on the wireless.

Love the bloke.

So proud of him last night as he always kept presenting and running his a55 off.

Thing I love about Carazzo is that he has clearly worked to improve areas of his game like his disposal & kicking for goal. The sort of attitude that shows the youngsters what being a professional footy player is all about.

Not bad for a player that Frankie Dardew had already pencilled in for us to recruit when he was at the Oakleigh Chargers and then Frank still followed his footy at Geelong and was talking him up even when he was demoted to a rookie spot.....terrific clubman and probably the most consistent player on the list is Andrew Carrazzo.

As for Bentick, I reckon the bloke is more deserving of the #7 jumper than Mr Davies, more of a Ratten type player.

Good thread Verbs...I'm a massive fan of Carrazzo..not only is he an unbelievable ball magnet but when played in dangerous areas (forward stints for example) he has incredible footy smarts to create something from nothing. A pure footballer and he would be in my top first 5 picked every week...Judd and Waite are 1 and 2....followed by Kruze and Murph..

Are there similarities between the rising star and Dane Swan?

Good call. I don't see how Carrazzo is any worse a player than Swan. Carrazzo is even more of a ball-magnet for mine, it's just that we have Carrazzo performing a wider variety of roles than Swan does for Collingwood.
