Surprised Ando is in but all the best to him, he is tough and can run and did OK on Goodwin 2 weeks back (though he did have some terrible turn overs)

I hope Kruez doesnt line up at FF but that is one sexual spine.

Also congrats to Carrazzo, would be nice for him to get a rising star nom in his captaincy game!

Official Team

Round One Carlton Team
B. Thornton, Jamison, Joseph
HB. Bower, Waite, Russell
C. Houlihan, Murphy, Scotland
HF. Carrazzo, Henderson, Simpson
F. O’hAilpin, Kreuzer, Betts
R. Warnock, Gibbs, McLean
INT. Anderson, Robinson, Walker, Yarran

Emerg. Grigg, Jacobs, Lucas

That is one quick bench..

Outstanding! Our first official team of the season!
Interesting that Waite is listed at CHB and Murphy in the middle. I'd be inclined to keep both on the bench until the heat has gone out of the game then play them in the last half of each quarter - just to ease them in.

But line-by line...

FB: Solid.
HB: Very attacking lot listed there.
C: Good skills, but perhaps not very defensively minded which might explain the HF line...
HF: Two solid senior players flanking the kid. Reckon we'll do a lot of defending from here.
FF: Tall.
RUCK: That's a classy and youthful selection of players.
BENCH: Agree with the other assessment - that's a quick bench with some hardness and class.

I'm excited.

Hadley is a better player than Anderson and so is Grigg -

Good luck to Ando he will have to make the most of it as there are plenty breathing down his neck

Must be a thrill for a carlton fan to play and then go on to be named captain of your club, if only temporarily

I would have had anderson further down the pecking order behind grigg, lucas and davies.

There were signs that anderson was in ratten's thoughts though as he got a huge amount of time in the middle against the crows.

Anderson is one of the few on the list who knows where to go defensively......may have some disposal issues at times but he is never hesistant, similar to Armfield.

hope he rips it up!

Hmmm... Who can judge this line-up?
4 debutants but so many of the same names that didn't fire a shot for them last year. I mean... Hislop?
Actually, given how short their listed Forward-line is, perhaps they're going to try and run us around?

Played well the last few weeks and will probably get a tagging role on Cousins or Delidio.

If Gartlett is fit he should play.
we look better when he plays
I have no probs having the 3 aboriginal boys in the one team.
We lack leg speed
simple as that
I just hope the MC dont put up with crap from players and have higher expectations of the players this year.
Houlihan being one
I would have plenty before him
Also would like to have seen White in the team.

For those who don't know who these guys are:

Roberts is a 176cm forward.
Mason is a 179cm mid.
Farmer is a 180cm defender.
