Was driving up Alexander Pde this morning to work and had a pleasant surprise. At the corner of Nicholson and Alexander Pde is a big street art piece of Silvagni's 1988 mark of the year! It’s pretty prominent so you can’t miss it. Bloody awesome sight. Anyone else seen it?

I’ll see if I can get a pic tomorrow morning…

If you can't get snap of the artwork, a picture of you recreating the mark should suffice.

What about a pic of him taking a pic of the pic?

I'd need someone to take the photo, as well as an unsuspecting member of the public to launch off.

It'd be preferable to launch off the back of a C/wood supporter wearing a C/wood guernsey if possible.

Yeah, I probably should have waited till I have a photo of it. The visual is obviously required... :donk:

Unfortunately though, Starcevic had the last laugh that day.

I'm one of the most ardent Carlton supporters going around but I have to say that he didn't hold it and it shouldn't have been paid.

Much the same as Gary Ablett over Pert, and Disco Roach over Terry Moore.
Blokes shouldn't get paid marks for 'effort'. Mind you, with some of the crap marks that are paid these days, especially when you can't 'chop the arms' (which you weren't officially allowed to do back then either), this would have been right up there with the greatest of all time.

As for my vote - still and always - it will be The Buzz.

I was there that day and we got beaten.
The Collingwood supporters fans gave us plenty as usual but I remember saying out loud enough to a mate of mine,
"When a Collingwood kid asks his dad, 'What is it like to win a premiership, dad?' he has to say, 'I don't know, son, ask your grandfather.' "
Got a few laughs at the time.

But you had to be there.

SOS was lucky he didn't break his neck when he landed.

One premiership since 1958 = 51 years
