This article by Tony de Bolfo now on the Blueseum doesn't seem to have been picked up here. Not strictly football related, detailing the time Carlton Legend Bob Chitty played Ned Kelly in a movie in the 1950's, but still one of the most unusual Carlton trivia pieces / stories we've seen:

Very good read.
The available fragments of the 1906 film on the Kelly Gang are awesome. The first Australian movie made.

And apparently the first ever feature film ever made.

Saw this on 100 Years of Australian Football. Very interesting indeed. Although I don't think he was as good as Mick Jagger playing Ned Kelly

Old timers have told me, Bob Chitty was the one man who used to have Jack Dyer more than a little worried.

I remember reading a quote from Jack Dyer about Chitty's role in the movie, he said "Only time Chitty ever needed armour"
