NORTH Melbourne is more likely to make the finals than Carlton this year and Barry Hall could win the Brownlow, according to the 16 AFL captains

Shame we won't get a good pick for finishing down the bottom

Can 1 player - Fevola - really be so important to a team's success? Guess time will tell.

Flying under the radar. Better this way as no expectations, except by carlton supporters of course.

In the old days a coach like Sheedy would have stuck this prediction on the lockers of every player and told his team to just go out there and stick it right up 'em.

I'm not sure that footy works like that these days though.

I could not believe the headline by The Herald Sun. The main point of the article was not that the other clubs do not rate Carlton. There were a number of other points also mentioned in the article.
I know Carlton sells but really, this anti-carlton attitude is getting really embarrassing.

The HUN can suck my sweaty ball sack.

This is the same rag which boldly declared that the Bulldogs had 1000 people to their season launch but we could "only muster" 300 to ours.

Look at what happened to west coast when they lost the Juddman. Granted they also lost cousins too but he rarely featured in the 2007 season and played to the prelim. I think that the second half of the year will be good for us but all in all it will be a reload season for us. Good news is we ware such a young team ithink maybe the youngest.

Oh they still put it on the playes lockers ... however the players just read it and think "Cool, I wonder what awesome player we'll get with pick 5!!"

The only way we can do anything about it is by winning football matches. We haven't done anything in the off-season to make anyone think we will be any good.

Perhaps I'm on my own here, but I think it is a rather interesting and significant point that only 1 of the other 15 club captains believes we will play finals this year.

I don't remember what it was last year, but from memory, a significant number picked us to play finals. This isn't the media making these predictions, these are the captains of the team we play again week in week out.

The poll lost credibility when it said Hall could win the Brownlow

Big Baz was starting to show signs of being, well, typical Baz when he showed the ball to Zac in the last Q. He'll implode by round 8, and the Bullies will fall short yet again. We just need to get that forward line settled and we'll be sweet.

And the pre season form wasn't that attrocious was it..........beaten by Syd up there with their lock down tactics, beat Bris, lost on the road to WA when we played the kids (as they did), and lost by a point to Adel :?

From the Newspaper that gave us "Bower the Power" and "Anthony Carrazzo".

Did these journos pass VCE English or even get a bare pass in doing credible research?

If they work for the HUN, chances are they don't research, and they barely passed 6th grade English
