Well done by Juddy. Handled the questions well and didn't try to deflect the blame. That wont stop Caro and friends taking a shot at him though.

Mind you, it's pretty funny watching Gary and co. trying to take the high moral ground on this issue.
Last time I looked, an actively employed member of their staff was blind drunk whilst working and they did nothing to stop it. In fact, they glorified it by continuing to film his ineptitude and show it on national TV.

I think Judd looked a bit uncomfortable and I actually think his responses to the Levi situation were a bit awkward.
The questioning was fair. Sam Newman may be a goose but he's a player's man and his opinion piece at the end did a lot to defuse the issue.
I think its good that interview is out of the way and I'd rather it was on TFS than with glory hounds like Caro, Hutchy or Dwayno.
After Round 2 is over, I think the whole pre-season mess will be a distant memory. I think the team and club are over it and are focused on the right things. It'll take Caro and the Hun a lot longer to get to that stage.

I thought he handled himself well, looked awkward at times.
Liked the bit when went on the attack about Casboult. Said that a player got his phone and called his dad and waited with him. Said that Levi's dad wasnt driving around Melbourne looking for his son and there wasnt a light appearing over them guiding him to where he was.
Glad he was in a Carlton top and not a puma one.

Agree with the shirt comment, it looked lame.
Does Nike make the shirts?

I thought he did well even if he did look a little uncomfortable a couple of times (the handcuff question in particular). Sam Newman's comments that Judd shouldn't be held responsible for the actions of a fully grown 28yo man were the most sensible of the segment.

General consensus on talkback this morning was that he handled himself well and too much is expected of him. All that despite the efforts of KB to convince listeners otherwise, no doubt still bitter that the box seat is empty.

You seem to have missed the point re sponsor exposure.

Short of being a portable billboard, that polo serves no purpose.

Hyundai make cheap cars. Mars sell chocolates... Where is the pressing need to service that sponsorship by ensuring that the clothes look tip-top at all media opportunities - be it in Ch9 studios or at a kids clinic in the bush?

Thought Juddy did well.

Gary Lyon put him under the pump most. Particularly regarding what he (Judd) did to control Fev on the night.

I just wish Juddy could've asked Gary this:

"As an employer of Fev on the night, what did TFS do to try and control him?" Would've put this bloke back in his box

TFS is contrived garbage.

Yeah but so what?
Very challenging questions. Judd walked through a minefield and IMO his replies were considered rather than awkward.
Much rather have a fair dinkum genuine response than smooth talking bulldust that often goes on TFS.
I thought all came out of the interview pretty well especially Sam Newman who I haven't been a fan of for a while.

Judd could not care less what the football world thinks of him and good on him. He is not responsible for the actions of other players and it's an absolute joke that he is the one having to deal with this. What did people want him to say? He did really well. You try go on national TV and get grilled by professionals and see how you handle it. Judd is a football player, not god.

yep..don't worry Crusader, I am the proverbial girlwho misses the point.
I get what you are saying..but hey....there is no reason why our boys can't look amazing, speak well, and sell the hec out of the brands while doing so. In fact...a fit and handsome man will probably shift a lot more product...and memberships in the end...right?
I have noticed this before...some clubs definately have great fitting and stylish gear...
its not that big a deal i know...but also...surely it's not rocket science to improve on this?
cheers.

Just watched the replay of TFS.

Juddy was cool as and made the points he wanted to make on his terms.
Mars (our major sponsor) got an amazing plug (s).
The judd bar could be sold in the near future...very funny...good publicity stunt.
Judd did not appear or sound nervous or uncomfortable whatsoever, as some posters suggest.

Great effort Judd...although it seemed it was effortless.
Gary Lyon is a nuff nuff from Kyneton.
Glad all the 2009 post season headlines have been dealt with.
Now lets get on with 2010, thus far, the squeaky clean year....clean slate.

Do they ever discuss footy stuff on TFS?

Glad I'm not the only one who confuses those two.

Which is a massive slight on anyone from Kyenton, I know.

I still think it's fairly odd that Carlton has to 'face the music' over players getting drunk at end of year drinks when other clubs are currently sorting out narcotic trafficking and rape and assault charges. Cameron Ling certainly didn't have to 'face the music' about stokes, or have his leadership questioned in light of it.

Perhaps they were so excited to get a guy on the show who routinely knocks back their requests, that they felt they had to be hard hitting. As a result, I think Judd bristled a little more than he had intended, but the double standard clearly got to him. As for the Fev stuff, the big fella has done and said enough in the last fortnight to largely explain the club's decision.

I would have liked Juddy to make it known that he was also working for channel 9 at the time and why the repesentatives of channel 9 (his employer) who were there at the brownlow didn't confront him and stop his antics in front of the camera. They were happy to let it go and film it.

Carlton is an employer and so was channel 9. Why should Carlton be totally responsible? Wish I was juddy and I was being interviewed as I would have had Garry Lyon put back in his place.

So the price of a good plug for MARS was to send Juddy onto the show to get jeered and laughed at?? ....classy stuff Carlton
