It's a pre-season practice game... I don't understand why people are getting their knickers in a twist. It means shit all.
And I'd rather have a longer break before the real stuff than this glorified run-around.
I don't know what it is this year - are we so desperate for footy? - but the level of attention these games are getting makes me uneasy.

No, on the Carlton Website....The game is actually announced as being on at 2.30pm.

Any chance to rush down after work has now been squashed!

Game back to 4:00. Adelaide is now staying overnight in Melbourne. I'm starting to feel like a yo-yo.

I got caught out with the cancelled praccy game a few weeks ago.
I did plan on going last Friday, but cancelled due to unplanned business meeting.
I do plan on coming this Friday, but waiting for confirmation from a Japanese supplier who may be in Sydney this Friday before I know I can go to Melb.

I really want to go and see the Blue boys with my owns eyes.

I want to see Armfield up and running looking like he's ready for round 1.
I want to see Austin picking up the pace after a disrupted preseason.
Surely these 2 must be close to playing.

I want to see McLean turn his form around.

There's so much to gain if I attend this Friday.

True. Last praccie match - you kind of want to tinker with things how you'd tinker with them in Round 1. If you make it down Bondi - can you pop over to 'Red' and have Frank or one of the girls make me a Latte macchiato 'to go'...cheers.

Had a quick look over the construction site fence on Monday morning during the closed session and noticed they were giving Austin a real work out. He had an instructor with him nearly the whole time. Wouldn`t be surprised to see him line up on Friday.

PPW...one of my favourite posters...you're usually on the money.

I wanna see Aussie tear it up.

Personal instructor...mmmm, interesting...didn't happen to be The Hyphen (DR-J)?

i can finally make a game!!!!!!!!!
would be fantastic if austin is up and about.
would like too see, barring injuries

armfield jamison thornton
scotland
bower russell
simpson gibbs walker
yarran waite robinson
kreuzer henderson betts

hampson judd murphy

warnock joseph carrazzo austin houlihan mclean

subs; hadley lucas

-scotland to sweep and kick in, great skills on both sides.
-waite must play forward to give us another option.
-walker can drop back if needed, he is tall, mobile, fast and can run all day, gram/gilbert type, [austin, bower, jamison, thornton and walker if needed, enough tall defenders]
-would not sub waite or murphy, just rotate from the bench, need all the game time they can get, even if it's 5-10 min burst.
-we need an even spread of goal kickers to shut the media up, and my mates.

Nope not Rhys. It may have been one of the fitness staff but too hard tell from where i was. They had him doing heaps of sprint/lead work, then he had to pick the footy up off the ground while the instructor tried to knock him off balance with the ruck pad thingy. This went on for some time.
Juddy had plenty of goal kicking practice. Maybe something in that?
