So is it safe to say only davies and lucas look like playing out of our rookies this year?

If you talk of rookie list too......Add Garlett...he's a given.

I think White was a mature aged recruit for the purpose of being ready for defensive back up.
Sounds like he just may be. He looked damn good when I saw him.

Yeah I did Doc...you were sitting right next to me....you moved your hand towards me...and ..and ..and...

Thank god I woke up.

You know when I last saw him...why ask the question?

Reminder:

I thought White looked good when I saw him at training this year. You know that. He looked mature and showed composure and poise compared to the new draftees.

Are you niggling me again? PM me...that stuff is best left off line.

Thanks to all the guys for their observations, a great read for us.

Sad to lose any game, but it really is all a bit "meh".....bring on the real stuff!

Nice edit Bondi  ...heck it was only last year that you thought I was a 'champion' and promising me copious amounts of beer and latté's one day as we watched English backpackers struggle against the tide. How times change.

For what it's worth, White looks alright...only real concern for me is lack of peripheral vision and a little sloppy off the left, but very interested to see how well he does at VFL level. His training of late (yep - I've been there, just no reports) has been extremely good. Good hands and despite adding a few kg's across the shoulders, still has nice closing speed.

suggest only sugercoaters watch.......some of our play and workrate was embarassing to say the least.

To me it looks like Ratts just told them to have a bit of a run a round , don't tackle etc and not to show anyone our gameplan, assuming we have one. The problem when doing this is that you can develop bad habits because you are under pressure due to us not applying any pressure ourselves.

Thank the powers we got out of it injury free.

Why are we trying to hide a gameplan? Practice makes perfect and what better practice than a practice game?

The opposition in NAB Challenge Cup won't provide much of a test of how your game plan's working so you may as well keep it under wrappers.

Great work Grro! :thanks:

Very good summation grro.

Judd - has his burst back. I think IT moved everytime he put the after burners on  . If we can keep him on the outside with Hads and Brock in the clinches, we can cause plenty of trouble.

..time wise he might, the op he had takes a long time to recover.. ..but from the limited stuff i've watched this pre-season he's a bit quicker, but he doesn't have that sheer burst of crazy acceleration back just yet.. ..watch some of his weagles stuff for a reminder..

..also, it's not about keeping him on the 'outside', cos he's got a tagger hanging off him most times anyway.. ..it's about player's sacrificing for eachother, we don't have enough teamwork just yet.. ..we need more blocking for eachother, Judd had a good 'inside' game back at the weagles too, it's just their engine room was better drilled/disciplined..
