So can you care to elaborate on your statement before I PM you with my problem? :banghead:

The way I see it is...Hudghton knew Fevola back to front...knew how to play him, how to get under his skin, how to frustrate him, and how to derail his game. Do you think if we had won the game that night, with Fevola kicking a bag, that he would have carried on like that at the end?? I don't think so.

As I said, watch some of the games we played against the Saints from about 2004-2008. Fevola did some very ordinary things, through frustration that would not have happened if we were 10 goals up and he was kicking a bag.

PM welcome
Some credit due to SOS also as Maxy's coach?

Strange noone has said Matthew bloody Lloyd yet even when his carrer was on it's death bed last year round 3 he turned it on against us. And I was sitting near
the goals when he broke 3 rules to get goal of the year in 07. I think the worst thing for me is going to the Blues v bombers games with my Essendon* mate and he would always
say to me you could have drafted him you know. Thank god he's retired.

I have just got onto this thread and see no one has mentioned Brent Harvey yet. With his leg speed and skill he has always carved us up. Remember when North demolished us by 20 goals in the last round in 2003? :banghead: Every time we play the kangas he is a pain. Thank goodness he is near the end of his career.

Your friend is an ignorant Essendon* supporter. We never had the opportunity to draft him. He was picked up as a 16yo compensatory pick, for shedding some fringe player/s to Freo when they started up. It's a pity we weren't anywhere near as well run in those days (as Essendon*), and able to exploit the rules of the day for our long term benefit.

Now that would make for an interesting thread.

Lloyd and Fev in the same forward line? Or Franklin and Roughhead?

Are you a lawyer or something? I wasn't especting the Spanish Inquisition!!!! Like I said, he seemed to have our measure. Just because he had other teams' measure more, doesn't negate that. And 3.28 goals against us IS a great return. Who else averaged that against us?

You are right - 3.28 against us is a very good return generally speaking, I guess it's just that Dunstall was such a gun that it didn't stack up so well compared with his record against other clubs. Sorry about the inquisition, the main reason why I commented was because I have been bragging to my Hawks supporting mates for years about how SOS owned Dunstall and how Dunstall never did much against us....(which is a slight exaggeration I realise!)

What about Les Foote. He was pre-metric

The very recollection of Alan Ezard has completely ruined my night Warby. Alan Ezard... geez, I get upset just thinking about the little runt!

glad he is retired as well.....mostly because he devalued the game for all of us with his cheap free kicks in front of goal....

any opposition small forward circa 2002-present would likely fall into the category of this thread.

Matthew Lloyd - the umpires loved him to the very end
Brent Harvey, especially in the early to mid 00s
Andrew Lovett made it a hobby of his in the last few years to turn it on against us..

Just a heads up...
Jay Neagle looks set to kick about 60 goals this season, so don't be surprised if he has our measure this year and in the coming years.
