WH has his famous list where he crosses the names off and I guess Kerrs name was in front of Levi's.

Just like the names of Cachia and Dare. :sly:

Why shouldn't Kerr have been drafted ahead of Casboult?

I guess we were confident that one tall would get through to one of our rookie picks, so we went for the best available players.

Rapt to get two projects talls and Simon White.

I feel a touch more confident about Kerr being a player than O'keeffe.

Both can kick a mile, but Kerr has pace, a nice step and chases.

Could be a handy replacement for Scooter down the track.

He's actually 93 kegs now according to Riley.

I'd say he blew out a tiny bit after his camp/screening measurements and he's more in the 94-96 kg range. Looked great in the shots from the WoC night.

Need to treat him a bit better than Geelong treated Hawkins; could easily wind up stress fractures if they don't hold him back on the weight-gain.

I think the answer to this might be in River Rat's Bullants practice match report

I have a theory (a generalisation I know) that really big guys and those that are early physical developers often look better playing junior football than they really are. Their physical size allows them to dominate junior football and undeveloped fellow juniors even when their ability is not that great. When they have to play against men and no longer have the advantage of disparate physical strength they no longer stand out.

Of course the very best always will (eg Kreuzer), but the proportionate hit rate for big guys I reckon is less. Tom Hawkins is a good example. He was such a lump that he absolutely dominated junior football and was said to have been the number 1 pick ahead of Mark Murphy if he had not gone to Geelong father son. Who would you rather have now?

I think the idea that big guys just take longer to develop is a croc. Most of them just aren't that good. Or maybe because their game relies on physical strength it takes many years to develop the muscular maturity to compete against the best men so they dont stand out again until significantly later.

The most talented small/mid sized players who dominate at junior level obviously are already attuned to competing against larger and stronger individuals and are not reliant on physical strength to play.

I think recruiting managers see talented small to mid sized midfielders as a better draft option, particularly those with exceptional kicking skills. Exceptional kicking is coming back as a highly rated draft influencer. I suspect this is what got Kerr up.

And some wouldn't be satisfied even if we won the next 10 premierships. I guess that's just life.

If, as reported, Kerrs fitness is at a good level and his skills are in good shape (unlike quite a few at the moment) it's hard to come up with a reason why he wouldn't be too far away from a senior debut.

Surely should be given a NAB Challenge opportunity??

A very few grow up as rovers and don't stop growing until you have a 6' 4" rover.
Now that's a good trick!

Listen mate
There are some posters on this site who have a view that there is nothing wrong with the club
Cazzeman is one based on his posts.
The comment is not so much about Tiller
Most players who are drafted dont make it
I know that
Again post anything you like about me
And i will keep posting stuff about the club

Dont know
maybe post a humerous attachement
Some cartoon or picture to depict what a tool I am and that I know jack shit.
Still I guess the arrogance of some posters will be proved correct or otherwise after round 22 this year.

Keogh, You described Levi not being picked to play as "mind blowing". hinting its another massive blunder for the club to not play a first year KPP ahead of those picked. It is clearly not so now we think of all the other massive blunders you claim the club has made and think you are just someone that goes off at anything that comes to mind. Bit of boy who cried wolf.

Just because you think that people on here think that the club can do no wrong doesnt make your call on Casboult correct. And dont start me on that fish head stuff !

Seems you're only happy when it rains !
