The only positive if there can be one was nobody knew fish did it, in other words he didn't need a stretcher to be helped from the ground.
The only thing I did see on the TV was fish limping around the boundary line heading into the rooms.

Fingers crossed its only minor and its a 6-8 week injury.

Good luck with the scan today fish.

He's a tough bugger Bosman so I wouldn't take that as a guide. Last time he did his ACL, he got up and took the kick before jogging off the ground.

And I remember his first training session back from the ACL, he trained the house down.

I still remember how fast he seemed in comparison with the other players we had on the list back then. It was Blue skies when he returned.

I just hope it's not too serious it condemns him to returning to footy in 2011.

Just 2 more games....not going to happen at the business end of the season if we're playing for a top 8 or top 4 position.

I like Fisher and feel bloody terrible for him. Finally gets a chance to work in a forward line minus the magnetic Fev and immediately gets injured...
I hope the injury is clean, the operation straightforward and the recovery swift.

With two nominated rookie spots available, and this injury.. we can promote three rookies this year. might not be so bad for our forward line... casboult and donaldson both need a lot of time to develop... but both could get some nice game time playing third tall, which is where fish would have played....

HF: Murphy O'hAilpin Yarran
FF: Betts Henderson Waite/Kreuz/Hampson/Warnock/Casboult/Donadlson

^^ actually doesnt look that bad.^^

Such a massive shame, both for Fish and the team. With Fev gone and a solid pre-season behind him this was set to be Fish's real chance to be an important player for us. If the worst is confirmed, I can't see how he'll come out of it.

I'm keeping everything crossed for Fish.
We know he's a good healer but this seems to be a close call right now.

Interesting. I'll be very interested to see how this goes on a bloke who isn't a midfielder.

Good luck Fish. Look forward to seeing you back in the seniors in July.

“Obviously this is positive news for Brad and the Club as it will see him return before the second half of the season. We underwent a thorough investigation as to the best treatment for this injury understanding that the LARS surgery is not always the most appropriate and are pleased that it was for Brad’s injury,” said Steven Icke General Manager Football Operations.

Good luck Fish :!: :!:

I thought Fisher was rotting at the head. Now it is his knee.

All the best Fish

Ratts said tonight, that Fish had his OP today. He had the Malceski Op and if all goes well, should be running around in 12 weeks.

Fingers crossed !!

Actually - if all goes well he should really be jogging in 6 weeks.

I think had it been a full tear the recovery would be longer - such as the 3-4 months Malceski had off. But because there is almost 50% of the fibres still attached in his existing ACL he could be back in full training 6-8 weeks after the op...we'll know more after the first week or two as if the knee can cope with some load bearing exercises then the Doc's will put a timeline on his return...to outsiders, this will be known as 'indefinite'...but it should be remembered that Malceski's was a full rupture...Brad's is a partial tear.

More surgeons are doing the op these days, so it doesn't have the stigma attached to it that it did a couple of years ago. The only real possible side effect of the LARS operation is that the patient wakes up speaking Swedish.
