Kevin Dyson. Saw him rip it up in a practice match many, many years ago. Went on to play for a few clubs if I remember rightly, (Melbourne, Fitzroy and the Swans I think).

James Cook in the mid 90's could have been a star... did ok at the Doggies afterwards, but he was an exciting prospect, first early pick in a draft (1990 ish?) that i could recall... might have been different for him had Matty Clape not had such a good year in 95... Ahh... '95!

Agree re Richard Dennis...

We hoped Keith Warburton would be another John Coleman but there was only one Coleman IMO the best ever to play the game.
From Wikipedia:
Quote:
Warburton made his debut for the Carlton Football Club in the Round 1 of the 1951 season.
He received a heavy knock during a game in 1952 and was rushed to hospital after collapsing at a dance after the game. He was eventually forced to retire in 1955 due to ongoing problems as a result of that knock.

Jake Edwards did really well in Judd's first hit out with us against the Doggies in a practice match at Princes Park. Took some great marks up forward and kicked 3 or 4 goals. I thought after that day that he might be the anser up forward to partner Fev.... Boy was I wrong

Also thought Livo was going to be the new SOS but Pagan and injuries killed him...

Thought Brett Johnson who came from Hawthorn would put together some good footy for us over a longer period of time. I remember in round 4 2004 against Essendon* at the MCG, his first half he had the ball on a string, and I remember thinking at halftime that he would be a great player for us. Of course, the second half rolled around and I never saw the same Brett Johnson again...

Peter Motley - a tragedy(enough said)
Stephen Edgar - was devastated when he went to the saints(was rapt when he turned out to be a dud there as well)
Murray Vance - just goes to show that part of the game is played above the shoulders!
Andrew Phillips - refer Peter Motley
Warren Ralph - was convinced he was going to kill it
Frank Marchesani - refer Murray Vance
Kevin Dyson - he did make it.....just not at our club
Blake Campbell - had a beautiful left foot on him.....and that was all
Mike Aitken - very classy mover.......better know for his contribution to medicine unfortunately
Michael Sexton - saw his first game v StKilda in the old Under 19s at Moorbbin - just looked like he belonged...and he did!!!

Norman stands out for sure but not as much as Motley and Phillips who were both in the elite bracket.

Peter Motley - nuff said

Andrew Phillips was a Brownlow Medallist in the making

Stephen Oliver would have been our second century goalkicker - and our first multiple century goalkicker

Bl**dy Angwin - had everything except a brain

Jon McCormack - I thought he was better than the MC gave him credit for, and I also thought Bentick would go further than he did. Actually thought he wasn't given enough of a go.
