Much like this you mean, where opinions are treated like they are facts ......

Picking an unqualified ex team mate who was coaching Norwood in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne is testimony to that.
Lappin, Teague Williams Braddley none of whom have actually any qualifications to coach and wouldnt get a job anywhere else are assistants or assisting with the development.

ok so you dont know..... ???

but its a big chunk of your Sticks argument... but the question remains... if he is that good.. why wernt we more professional earlier on his board tenure???

Surely he wasnt being held back with all his genius by Jack????

Look now Sticks is prez.. were a 40 million turnover business.

Thanks Sticks....!!!

Silly isnt it???

find a more salient argument as to what Sticks brings to the club.. but let it not be money....its too funny.

Are they..................so you know that for a fact. Do you have the P&L for the other 15 clubs for the past 10 years. Hows Melbourne travelling. Better still hows Port travelling? So many questions without answers for both of us I guess.

Perhaps the Clubs Record membership last year is a fact we can agree on...................maybe

I beg to differ.........most of it is fun for Badman............He's fiesty, argumentative and loves a good verbal spar. TC is therapy for when he gets bored at work. No doubt he loves the Blues but maybe that is on par with how much he likes to challenge things.

He's really very nice face to face

Regards Cazzesman

...and he keeps us thinking and questioning about what is and what isn't.

I think he adds value to the site.

Consider TC without Synbad over the last 5 years....well ....what have you really got?

Well it would be the mutual admiration society of monoculture.

Live and let live.

Kernahan has excellent survival skills and knows how to use them.

His chameleon like behaviour in the past is an indication that he is a lot more politically astute and has better political judgement than some people might think.

Yeah fair enough, I've not had the pleasure

I'm all for a bit of devils advocate and all but Synbad comes across as a shallow point scorer, with a large ego!

I shouldn't judge an ebook by the size of it's Ipad I guess!!

We would have come close to closing the door no matter whether Sticks or Fitzpatrick were President and that would have been down to the Elliot years. Lets not bend the truth to suit your arguments. The facts now are where the Club is at financially and Sticks has been President since Dick paased on. Sure Visy is a sponsor but we also have plenty of new ones come on board under Sticks and Swanny.

You're clutching...

Sticks begrudgingly comes out from the bunker to talk to Mike trying to save his skin using numbers created by RP, Swann and the magnificent supporter base who created the interest to attract media/sponsorship during the worst period of the clubs history which's rivaled anything St.Kilda have dished up.

Is sticks under a bit of pressure I wonder...?

Why am I clutching?

Lets look at the Facts that you continue to bypass.

Sticks has been President for about 2 years from memory. During that time the financial figures and membership growth speak for themselves.

The onfield efforts have gone from 4, 10 to 13 wins and a final that was lost in 15 minutes of footy.

If Sticks has to be the fall guy as Pres when things are crap then surely he get the kudos as Pres when things are on the way up.

And if you think Sticks is under any pressure from posters like your good self then he will surely rule for the next 25 years.

Regards Cazzesman

Thats the point of these demonising arguments Cazz. The Demon depending on which thread, insert Sticks or Ratts or Legion of them ( insert 95 premiership team if you want a larger conspiracy) is always to blame for anything negative, but anything positive is due to someone else

The fewer facts the better

The argument that if you are blaming someone as head of an organisation for everything bad does not compute when it comes to credit with anything good. A simple way of arguing for those who don't like to get confused

You forgot the vent word Cazz

Although I do agree with Bondi that the forum would be less interesting without Synbad (Barnaby) Unquestioning faith is just as bad as what Barnaby dishes up IMO.
