Just read this on carltonfc.com.au

Quote:
A loss to Sydney and Carlton will play in the NAB Challenge series and will play either Brisbane or Western Bulldogs at Visy Park on Friday February 26th. (Opponent would be the loser of the Brisbane v Western Bulldogs round one NAB Cup match).

Would love to play at Visy Park again, would be reminiscent of Judds debut a couple of years back if Fevola was to line up against us down at Visy! Not to mention its a damn good surface, wouldn't have to worry about the ground being to hard etc.

Tank anyone? :smoking:

This really is a win/win.

Win against the Swans and we stay in the NAB longer, and lessen the chances of being stuck playing on a concrete oval in the middle of nowhere (next week excluded obviously)

Lose and we either play our bunnies (Dogs) or new nemesis (Lions, who knocked us out of the finals + Fev). Both teams are quality sides and will give us a good chance to try out our new tactics. That plus playing at VISY = great specticle for the fans (ill be there !!!!!)

I'd like to avoid playing Brisbane till rd 2, fev will be emotional when he takes on his best mates for the first time and it could effect his performance, hopefully for the worse.

I think its the type of situation Fev would thrive on. I think its our playing group, in particular our defenders that would have the issues.

am i the only one hoping for a win purely to avoid a 6 day break in the pre season that scheduling looks ridiculous, especially seeing either brisbane or the doggies will have had 13 day breaks, i would have thought losers from this weekend would have played fellow losers from this weekend and vice versa.

Voss the toss has suggested that Fev...ola will not play in round 2 of the preseason, whenever or wherever that is...

Tank.

Even the surface of a footy regional ground would have to be better than Etihad Stadium.

Luke O'Sullivan anyone?

They better have that fixed before our first game there.

The problem is not next week (Visy Park) but the week after that and the last week. Remember last year we ended up in Albany (?) WA.

You can end up anywhere in Australia and the AFL will make sure they send us to some remote place :screwy:

Don't think winning or losing is important this time of year.

It's the style of play and the level of improvement in the 2nd and 3rd tier players that's important I reckon. Anderson Browne Armfield Joseph Garlett etc etc

Didn't Fev say that he would rule himself out if it were against us because he would want to meet us in the H&A first, or is this just more media buffoonery? If he did, it's good to see Fev's "all about me" attitude kicking on.
