We cannot afford to have this type of stupidity going on... we need to be better than this.

..i agree, we do.. ..BUT, Teague is coach of the northern bullants.. ..our VFL affliate club, and this is just another thing that happens while we don't have a real reserves side in the comp..

Seriously IMO some people here just don't understand the media and this carzy world of political correctness.
What was Teague supposed to say ? Nah we don't want alleged rapists. He has kept it politically correct. To not be seen as prejudice either himself the Bullants or the CFC.
Get off the guys back. We as a club have moved on from this rubbish. I would just like to think maybe us as supporters could also.

We got rid of Fev... wake up people..... now we'd consider Lovett. :banghead: Honestly are people that stupid or niave? :yikes: :yikes:

The sooner the footy actually starts the better. Not only for the silliy media but also for the stir crazy supporters, who bag the media yet believe the rubbish they deliver.

Oh well... :smoking:

How many crosses does Teague need against his name before he is moved on ?

:banghead:

What are the other crosses?

He crashed into a parked car and left a women a quadriplegic in 2007. Lawyer got him off on the grounds it was 'reasonable to believe that the pedal malfunction had contributed to the crash and there was not enough evidence to suggest that Teague's driving fell below a reasonable standard of care.'

The 'pedal malfunction' was not mechanical. The car's foot mat had interfered with the accelerator, causing it to jam and prevent Teague from slowing down. Chances are if this happened to one of us, we'd be behind bars as Teague somehow got a very, very good lawyer. Check your car mats folks.

Relax - I guarantee the journo "spun" this. Probably asked him something about if AL would improve the team etc. and then spinning it and jumping to the headline that he would be welcome. Teague clearly said that this would have to be discussed by the boards before saying anything. The journo just construed the "specific" comments from general remarks.
You all know how the media makes a mole hill of nothing and don't care what somebody really said. Ever heard of "taken out of context"?

I think Teaguey either has had no media training or it was an EPIC fail.

I am still lost 2 Cents.

Should have issued a "no comment" on this one I agree but i still don't know what all these other crosses against his name are.

Bullants made the Granny last year and the young players seem to be developing well playing with them.

Agree, Besides his moment of brainlessness 2 days ago its hard to fault Teague at the moment. The young bucks seem to be responding to his coaching and at the end of the day that's what he's employed for.

Exactly - the previous discussion serves no purpose.

Good thing the footy starts this evening.

The post above was directed at Doc not you.

Other crosses include :

Aisake fiasco - Teague should have handled the spat between do as i tell Lappin and Aisake in a more neutral manner and defused the situation, rather than siding with his mate Lappin and blowing things. Cost us Aisake and caused rift between coaching staff and Setanta.

Captain / Coach idea - If Teague wanted to continue playing footy at league or bush level then he should have done so, rather than make a go each way and dragging upon the team an outdated concept from the 70s.

Poor communicator, and lacks coaching experience plus maturity to be involved in a developmental role. The addition of Harris has shown the value of having an mature, experienced development coach.
