This Sunday, the 14th of February. Looking forward to it, have been to the last two after staying away from it for so many years. Hopefully we can get a look at the new facilities.

Who else is going? (And please don't say I can't because of Hallmark day)

Family Day could turn into one of those speed dating things...because a lot of the single blokes and sheilas will be there as they have nothing to do on Valentines Day

I agree, a silly day to have something like that.

They shouldn't have a family day on Valentines Day, a commercially invented date on the calendar, but yet they play home and away matches on Easter Sunday

Stuff Valentines day, it only exists so florists can look busy.

I'll be taking my daughter to swimming lessons first, if it's still on afterwards then I'll venture to Visy Park. Still need to renew my membership also :yikes:

Was a pretty good day, despite the sunburn.
Spewin they cut the tours short...I missed out. They should have had a board or something of when tours will be running and when the last one was.

Went into the new foyer area though and saw the cups display.

No boat ride where you could get hand cuffed to your favourite player then shotgun a can?

Hehe, I was joking with a few people before about there being some beer tents set up with drinking contests. For a moment there they actually believed me

- Looked like a good crowd after the threat of rain in the morning.
- We got there at 12.30pm and found a great park on Royal Pde opposite the ground.
- By the time we got into the ground at the far entrance and my daughter had lined up for the bouncy castle, the 5 minute warning for player signatures and tour of the facilities was called.
- Player interviews were confusing at best:
Ike to Waite: Are you going to play forward or back?
Expected answer: we've been talking about it and from last season my best work was back with license to go forward if needed [or something like that]
    Waite: dunno

Ike to Warnock: So you haven't played for 12 months how are you feeling?
Expected answer: Raring to go mate! Watch out Krooz, I'm gunning for the #1 rucking spot! Watch out Cox, Sandilands and Jolly I'm going to tear you a new one!
Warnock: Just hope I get a game!!!

Also disappointed that the loudest applause (except for Judd) was for the 3 bad boys. :smoking:

Most disappointing was that I lost my car keys and had to tram and train it back home and then get a lift all the way back to Carlton to get the car... :banghead:

Otherwise it was great to finally take my 5yo to Princes Park and she enjoyed herself.

I also went to the family day. Not as big as last time but still heaps of people there.

The facilities were impressive and the crowd jostling for the photo in front of the premiership cups was a constant throughout the day.

I would like to see more about the numbers they give out to the players as part of the presentation in future but I accept there's many little ones there and might get too bored with it. I was thinking about a simple video clip playing about the history of the jumper and how the current player now takes on this responsibility etc. We have a real history in our club and I think we should use it more than we do.

All in all I enjoyed the day and picked up a Bullants membership as well.

My family really enjoyed it - sort of the same set-up as recent years, but more compact (over 3 hours) plus the added highlight of the new facilities.

More bouncy castles for the kids, which they loved.

Got the photo of me, Tommy (son) and Juddy so all is good.

Steamy!

Good day :)

Loved Waite's form. He kept signing autographs all the way to the back of the stage after repeatedly being told by Carlton official to not sign and go behind stage. He continued to do about 15 more signatures, including my poster. :)

I think the Carlton official forgot why the fans were there.

good stuff Waitey.
