THE INTRA CLUB MATCH IS OFF THIS MORNING.

I have no idea if normal training is on.

Phone your friends who are going if it's not tooooooo late.

Regards Cazzesman

The ground is flooded. Should be next Wednesday.

No issue with it being cancelled as I had a funny feeling this morning that something might happen in this weather.

This.

Could you imagine the rage from some supporters if they did play this morning and a player was seriously injured...

I support the club on the decision. If thats their call so be it

I know how Eddie feels.
I picked up the Herald Sun the other day and Leon Davis stated that he was aiming to rectify his poor finals record this year.

It does sound ridiculous to postpone a footy match because of light showers.

But these intraclub games have the purpose of allowing the MC to see what stages players are at in their preparation and readiness to play footy. Wet and slippery football would be pretty useless IMO.
Also if Jarrad Waite re-injured his knee because of the conditions as an example, the lynch mob would be queuing at Ratten's door, me included

Waite wasn't going to play.

There was about 10 players who weren't going to play actually, if its postponed it might give a few players a chance to play next week.

Smart move

Why increase the risk of injury is a nothing game?

Just got to Visy Park and was advised of the cancellation. I understand the decision but on a personal note taking the day off work to see our boys in action for the first time has upset me a little

Hopefully they can announce when the game is taking place or perhaps doing it at a time where fans can get along and see some of the new guys in action

Depending on the extent of the flooding, hopefully it is on this weekend.

Why is our club so backwards. I like a bit of Miles Davis but really the young people today don't even like jazz.

Ratts just rang Sen, I missed the start of it but this is the gist of what he said;
Only had 32 players, due to injury and illness and where only going to have a hit out of 2 teams of 16 for 100 minutes in total.
Said that Murphy would play either week 2 or 3 of the Nab cup/challenge.
Warnock has been in full training since before christmas and hasnt missed since.
Yarran has been in the top 3 trainers this preseason.
There will be a practice match next Friday at 4pm with a sausage sizzle and membership and merchendise for sale.
