Matthew Stokes, an AFL player who plays in dark blue and white, has been accused......................................I wont do it..............I hate the HUN. It's not me.

I don't want to have any association with those fools at the HUN. I can't act like them because I don't want to be anything like them.

GEELONG premiership player Mathew Stokes is being questioned over drug offences.

Stokes was drafted from of the NT Thunder where he was a teamate of Carltons Joey Anderson whos club has been involved in many unsavoury incidents over the summer.

Who would have thought the Hun would be able to churn out a paper playing 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon. :banghead:

The shitballs that this dreg of a paper keep throwing at the Blues continues...

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/blues- ... 5826517569

From reading BF, everyone is sticking in the boots to Geelong, yet they feel inclined to point out the Blues so that the average Joe fan starts talking about pots, kettles and the color black.

You don't even need to bastardize the article.

They write articles exclusively about stuff that is written on fan forums?

Wow.

Evonne Barry hasn't got an original idea in her head. No wonder she is writing for that shit pot rag.

Here's a quote that you can all read so that you don't have to click the link

Quote:
RIVAL fans were the first to stick the boot in as news of Geelong's drug scandal spread yesterday.

Among the most vocal on online footy forums were Carlton supporters, whose club has been under fire for players' end-of-season misdemeanours.

"All the high-and-mighty Cats fans that threw garbage on my club for players getting drunk on a boat, start the back-pedalling now," wrote Macfart on BigFooty.

She'll get an award for this from her bosses, mark my words.

Well,this is highly entertaining!
I love this thread.
Just wish they'd quote more from the higher end rag 'TC ',
than the Hun -like 'BF.'.

Here is another example of lazy journalism by the Hun.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/afl-player-nathan-lovett-murray-avoids-conviction-over-unlicensed-driving/story-e6frf7jo-1225826677588

Amazing they don't mention Hurley in this article or McVeigh being suspended for not turning up to a training session because he was drunk.

Had this been a Carlton player the bottom of the article would have listed all the misdemenours of other players regardless if it was related or not.

Lovett-Murray who has also played against Carlton was recently caught with ecstasy tablets, the same drug disgraced former Blues Lawrence Angwin and Karl Norman were caught using to enhance their performance on the training field in 2003. Carlton eventually bowed to public pressure and reluctantly sacked Angwin whilst Norman received no punishment further proving Carlton's total disregard for moral decency.

Moral Decency, a former player for the blues, was traded many years back, and some would say the baggers have struggled without his presence.

FWIW the Evonne Barry expose regarding Carlton fans being first in with the boots on BF is just plain wrong.

There were only three Carlton supporters in the entire first 100 posts. ‘Macfart’, who she quoted, was the 26th post and ‘up the guts’, the other poster quoted, is not even Carlton but a Richmond supporter!!!

IMO, like it or not, the Blues hierarchy need to take responsibility and maybe work towards healing this rift with the Sun???

Got to love the photograph the Hun chose of Matthew Stokes. Rupert's kids aren't trying to fuel the fire or anything...

I've seen tomorrow's Herald-Sun already and it looks like this:

Blues' Liquid Woes
Carlton's problems with all forms of liquid continued yesterday with the cancellation of an intra-club practice match due to Melbourne's rainy conditions. This follows on from Carlton's infamous Booze Cruise issues, public drunknness by disgraced former Blue Brendan Fevola, and Chris Judd's famous attempt to wipe the eyes of Michael Rischitelli.

A Carlton spokesperson confirmed that they were looking forward to games held indoors at Etihad Stadium throughout the year so as to minimise any further interruption from water.

Interesting snippet from Jake Niall's article in The Age this morning regarding off field behaviour this summer

Quote:
This off-season of strife began with Essendon*'s emerging star Michael Hurley's alleged assault of a cab driver and included the Carlton booze cruise, which seems like a tea party in comparison with what has transpired since

Finally some perspective. Unsurprising it came from Niall, one of the few decent journos covering footy.
