Can anyone do anything half-decent with Polly Waffle? You have to use BOTH words, not just a cheap 'waffle-on' gag.

I heard we're getting sponsored by Colgate and they want Carlos to be the main spokesperson. He'll be known as Peppermint Paddy.

Houlihan mentioned that we lost some big sponsors in todays articles.

So I hope these talks are on the money. We sure need some postive news.

It's obvious from what Houla is quoted that the fall out from the Houlihan and Betts issues was the loss of some major sponsors.

I hope those sponsorship deals can be resurrected in the next week......and I know nothing...I just want to hear the announcements now that the dust has settled and the spot light is on:

Geelong (drug trafficking).......going to court
Essendon* (serious assault, racism & fare evasion).....going to court
St Kilda (rape allegation).....awaiting police findings
Richmond (assault).....going to court
Brisbane (Fevola)....he's their problem now

.....as we just continue to release good news stories.

Great opportunity for any sponsor with the FTA exposure the great CFC offers.

I think that's a great message to potential sponsors. "Sure, our boys get pissed and fall over a lot, but when you compare it to drug trafficking, assaults, gun-toting joyrides with murderers, damage of personal property, wife beating and crazy brawls in Alice Springs... we're really your safest bet".

Maybe our 2010 slogan should've been
