Adam Cooney ripped the pies a new arsehole today - if he's eligible he'd go close.

Played too many games last year.
Not eligible.

Blokes in our team at the moment who are eligible are...

Betts, Blackwell, Russell, Hartlett, Raso, Bentick, Carrazzo and all the rookies except Setanta.

He's not eligible. Cooney was great for the Cork Dragons in a pretty miserable week.

cool, thanks PJ. While we're on the topic are the eligibility requirements to difficult? Would we be better of changing it to, let's say the first two years a player spend on a senior list rather than the games requirement?

Quite a few of us seemed doubtful as to the eligibility of certain players.

IIRC, the eligibility is as follows...

Must be under 21 and must have played less than 10 or 15 games.

Pretty rough I know, but I think that is the general gist of it all.

It's not the fact that the rules are tough, they're just a bastard to remember. I reckon if it was something simple like being on a senior list for less than two years would make it heaps easier for the average moron (such as myself)

I'd add in the under 21 rule to your method of thinking, Deano.

Under 21 and must have been on a list for 2 years or less.

Takes into account all blokes who were drafted in the ND bar the recycled blokes.

Which leads me to my next question...

Has one bloke ever got a nomination at two clubs?

He'll get one or the other.
He's just too exciting and in your face to ignore.

I thought once you got a nomination you weren't eligible anymore?

No, you can be nominated more than once. An example of this is Michael Braun who was nominated in Round 14, 1997 and then again in Round 1, 1998. As far as I know, the rule hasn't changed since? It might have happened again too....

I tihkn you may be right. It doesn't say anything about not being able to be nominated twice on the afl site.

10 marks and 25 possesions isn't a bad game in a losing side. A deserving winner this week.
