Caro is doing an article in tomorrow's Age about Carlton's new sponsor coming on board for an amount that is a 6 figure number.

Apparently, the sponsor comes from the retail sector.

Anyone have any idea on who it may be?

Same thing mentioned on SEN Wedensday night.

No new news in Caro's article - still saying from the Retail Sector. - we will have to wait and see.

interesting article

noticed that Toshiba is going to be taking a back seat.

Thats interesting though - what about all the new footy jumpers they have just started to sell that has the toshiba sign on them?

Wont the new sponsor want something on the jumpers combined with Optus.

Looks like it was a handy decision by me to wait until the rd 1 before i buy my footy jumper :D

Also, noticed with interest the concept of having the AFL Umpires using OO as a training base - surely that would be a great idea. You would get the AFL paying us once again but more so with umpires around OO would it be safe to say that the relationships between the Umpires and Carltong could be improved. Becuase god knows, we seem to get the shaft all the time from the bastards

Was just thinking the same thing Scott ... you would be pissed off if you had just bought one of the new jumpers already .....

Could be some bargains at the Cralton Shop soon

Sorry, I'm a bit out of the loop at the moment.

New sponsor? :?

How's that going to work? Anyone reckon we might have three logos on our jumpers?

I'm surprised by the retail suggestions being floated around as about a month ago I was hearing financial... If it's Bunnings that'd be great!

toshiba want to get out of there contract, but a contract is a contract you cannot go back on a agreement. I think that the new sponsor will be our main sponsor with optus playing a secondary role and to continue the long association they have with our club.
With K&S as our shorts sponsor, optus and the new major sponsor to be announced Toshiba could become the coaches box sponsor or even our ball sponsor.
Were does Subaru come into all of this i have not noticed there signage any where like on our website, coaches box, emails, ground signage?

It is going to be a good sponsorship, club are tight lipped about who it is.. so like everyone I await with bated breath.

Yeah?

We could have the Retravision Bluebirds doing dances at half time to that catchy jingle - where's bluehammer with the script.

well, I'm sorry, if the new sponsor doesn't have a black dude playing a sax as their mascot I'm going to be very disappointed! Stockton playing "tequila" at half time was classy stuff....

I can't confirm my source but our new sponsor will be announced at 2:30pm today.

Not sure who the sponsor will be but all will be revealed very shortly.
