Correct. Sticks and Brad Pearce both kicked bags.

They mentioned it on the TV.
It must be an omen.

I was away for the weekend and didn't go but have watched the replay.
The players seem to be enjoying themselves now, I guess winning will do that.
Two wins in a row now, maybe we are on a roll.

I don’t think Sam Mitchell has been involved in too many games where Carlton have thumped Hawthorn- so it was nice to wipe that shit eating grin off his face.

Except of course when he’s tapping his forearm looking for a vein.

We certainly look a much better side when Cunningham and Martin are playing.
Boyd and Kemp coming along nicely.

Agreed.

I missed the game live and finally finished watching the replay last night. I thought we played very well, but we were given a lot of freedom by the Hawks, so it's hard to know what to take from the game, other than Hawthorn was at least as shit as we were good.

There was a defensive chain that ended up with a Charlie mark inside 50 and with the camera angle on the TV you could join the dots from CHB, along the near side wing, right through to Charlie. I remember watching and thinking, well, there's no way between CHB and inside 50 that the opponents will leave all that space… wait, hang on, they… yes, they are going to give us all that space and Charlie marks the ball and scored the goal. Sure, we moved the ball quickly and efficiently, but that was a sign that the Hawks were way off it defensively.

Very pleased, though, that we didn't roll over when they played a bit better in the 3rd, and were able to extend the lead in the last quarter.

Definitely a lot to like about the game — some of Cerra's hanbdall's were chef's kiss and he must be a lock for the B&F, surely — anyway, playing Freo away will be a better test for us.

I'd like to think the last two opponents looked shit because we've changed our tactics and teams haven't had a chance to figure us out yet. Hawthorn beat Brisbane not long ago, so it's not like they're total shit all the time. No Sicily helps, of course.

You can only beat what is put in front of you.

We will know more on Sunday night.

If we keep winning till the last day of September its sort of similar.

Call it delusional, but I am a believer in possibilities, and every win is sweet, and every week whilst our season is still alive, is sweet.
