Nah, I totally get it... I used to work with a Tomic who pronounced it "tomick" but I stubbornly said "tomitch". My BiL has a great Polish name which the family has turned into some weird ocker noise... I'm not sure if he even knows how to say it properly, the dopey bugger.

Could just be that his family anglicised when they migrated here, like all the Croatians who give themselves an "-ick".
They're giving me the ick with their kicking for goal against Collingwood....!

1) We’ve now seen what the blueprint looks like. (Next is to execute under the pressure/tactics of good teams.)
2) Quick forward handball
3) Players ahead of the ball leading/players with the ball kicking to the lead (or to advantage)
4) Kemp, Cincotta, Pitto showing what they can do
5) Several others returning to their best, led by Cripps, Acres, Cerra, Hewett, Newman; Docherty and Saad returning and playing well

Can we go with Chinky?

I say no. Aside from anything else, I think his surname is pronounced “Sin-cotta”.

It's pronounced "Chin-cotta"

Think of the drink Cinzano...it's pronounced "Chin-zano"

I thought that initially too, but I’m sure I heard a VFL commentator say they had checked the preferred pronunciation with the club and that it’s “Sin-cotta”.

Then again, VFL commentators are known to make mistakes!
Not as often as VFL umpires!

1. Four quarter effort
2. 23 goals / 150 points scored / much needed percentage
3. Charlie's marking
4. Individual highlights (Hewett, Cincotta, Kemp etc)
5. West Coast's hospitality, to welcome us with a team of witches hats

Pros
1. We won how we should have won - belting a weak foe over 4 qtrs. For a change.
2. A spread of 12 players getting goals - vital we continue this.
3. Cripps got back to doing what does best - handballing. Everybody benefits when Crippa has a high handball to kicks ratio (27:6)
4. Welcome back Georgie and excellent game Mr Blake Acres. Pls keep it up.
5. Charlie...

Cons
1. The pros and this game will be meaningless unless we win a good share of our next half a dozen games.
2. Signs we could become too reliant on Charlie for goals and this is dangerous as we saw against Pies last year when Charlie got the yips.
3. I'm sick of thinking about cons...
