Club great and current list manager Stephen Silvagni looks unlikely to be at Carlton “this time next year”, says Caroline Wilson.

If that’s the case, Cain Liddle better start looking for new opportunities, else there will be plenty of members following SOS.......

I read that short report and I thought she was nothing short of embarrassing. Baseless and made up on the fly...she's got to be related to Gil and his fellow Commissioners.

After he basically told her she knew jack at their last confrontation, I am not surprised.
She can write what she likes and then sit back and admire her work, whether it's worth admiring or not.
Like all of us on here.

I got to the part where she said she PREDICTS that SOS won't be there and the smell of bullsh!t was so overwhelming that I had to leave...

I have heard our Coach of the Century speak on the subject of Caro. Not a fan to put it very mildly.

B70 on BF is suggesting that there may be some truth to the rumor of SOS leaving. Hopefully that doesn't materialize as I think SOS has really added steel and nous to our recruiting and drafting efforts. I guess time will tell.

Caro is just running with a variation of 4 month old rumour from Tom Morris.

I wish that were the case CB. Ockham’s Razor is suggesting he may be off to North Melbourne — very sad if true!

Rumours have been swirling about SOS for a while though so not really surprising.

Maybe he just likes baking the cake more than adding the icing and serving which is why someone like North would be appealing.

Or he doesn’t get on with Lloyd / Liddle (pure speculation).

All depends on who we get as replacement.

There "may" be "some" truth.

Well, that's as clear as it comes.

SOS will keep his job if Kennedy, Setterfield, Stocker, Dow & O’Brien find their way into the midfield and can sustain meaningful contributions.

We’ll play finals if that happens, so it could also ring true that SOS will keep his job if we play finals. Some may see on field performance as separate from recruitment, but the argument will be that SOS will have assembled a top 8 side.

You can't blame him for feeling uncomfortable and conflicted in the role with three sons soon to be on the list.

He's completed what he set out to do which is rebuild the list, so he should depart on good terms.

I have reflected on this as well Rexy. A long time ago when I was a teenager (53 years ago!) and when I first played country league senior footy my dad was a selector for the team. He resigned so he did not have a conflict of interest. Unfortunately he was then recruited by the local radio station to call games . He never once spoke my name during the call no matter how many kicks I got. A typical comment would be..... " An Imperials player has kicked a goal from the forward pocket". Thanks dad (RIP).

:) lovely story, but be honest... "imperials player" kicked it out on the full from directly in front, didn't he?

What’s embarrassing is that our CEO, doesn’t always have the ability to have who he wants in key roles at the club...

Copying the Richmond model is one thing. Hiring Richmond people is another.

If he did leave, and I hope he doesn't, he may decide to step away from footy involvement all together.
