so now you're using the before SOS era to strengthen your bagging of SOS?

good one

Yep that's exactly what I was doing which is why i clearly pointed out the rookies on Richmond's list prior to SOS's timeframe.... how late picks/rookies can transform a club... yet SOS ignored those picks because he was lazy and not very good... now I'm bagging SOS..

8 players compared to 1... facts that tells you everything you need to know...

The board moving SOS on (with his best friend and mates on the board) tells you everything you need to know (I'll give you a hint, they don't think he did a very good job... they were seriously bagging SOS)...

Yet you still don't know

I’ll give you a hint...I know how you feel about SOS. It’s only in all of your posts. No need to throw in bullshit about club politics you claim to know to support it

Meanwhile, I think he did a good job overall. We’ll all know how good over the next few years as some of our young guys develop further. For now, let’s leave it at that

I’ll give you a hint since you can’t afford to buy a clue.

He’s not bullshitting.

What I find odd is the club found it necessary to move Stephen Silvagni on without having a replacement potentially ready to go. ''Apparently'' Kinnear Beatson has knocked them back, which is not surprising really.
He has a good gig in Sydney !

So where or who to now ?

Agresta may be a fall back option ? If that were to happen it would be because the club has bombed out elsewhere, and he'd get the job by default.
Lots to play out here, particularly when you think this really didn't need to happen right now.

The question was asked a while back if Jack and Ben would have been recruited if they weren't Silvagnis?

I wonder, would SOS have been given his recruiting gig if he wasn't a Silvagni?

As the pages roll by and the thread get longer, the vitriol gets more bitter. The ITKs spill their bile and the lemmings nod wisely.
At Richmond the supporters always threaten to burn their membership cards. At Carlton we prefer to eat our own. Always have.
So many successful eras have been cut short or hijacked by politicking and blood letting behind closed doors.
Jezza, Walls, Percy, Brittain and Ratts to name a few that were pushed out before their time through politics and or the Messiah coach complex.
It's not surprising it flows down to the supporters.

People calling for a united club in one breath slag off at the board, the players, the coach and the committee the next.
That's what being a real Carlton person is all about.

You should get a week off for that.

But I bet you won’t.

You should move on.

But I know you won't.

Surely if they are looking to replace SOS then Keogh would be their number 1 target

The board has established that the term “good for you” doesn’t actually mean “good for you”.

Just wanting to ensure that consistency and fairness prevails.

Aren't they after someone from Freo?

Can't see that Freo has been a shinning light in recruitment, but maybe the role is different

Sos’s Legacy will be there for all to see in 3 years
Based on Mc Govern, Setterfields output is
Plus others
The output of Dow and others
His inability to recruit talent with late picks and rookie picks
is without question
Some posters say he is or was great
That’s the favoured son can’t do no wrong syndrome

So everyone else has to wait 3 years to judge SOS's legacy, however you are free to call it now

I'm not sure many will care about those late draft picks when we win number 18 within the next few years!
