Given most of our problems originate in, and from, the midfield, why wasn't Barker sacked as well?

Getting the engine room working properly is the priority in my book.

So wouldn't mind someone like Ratten or Voss.

Plus Barker out.

The question we've been asking ourselves for years.

What good is Teague - the forward coach?

We have no forward strategy and are kicking no goals, this is pointless.

I have no idea.

We've gone down the messiah path and the rookie path and neither worked.

Ratts has been a great assistant since leaving us but is he now senior coach material?

Don't want B Scott just cos I hate him.

I wouldn't let Clarko walk around the Princes Park track, let alone walk through the doors of our footy club.

Never, ever forget what that grub did to Ian Aitken. In a @#$%&! exhibition match for christ sake. That sort of leopard doesn't change his spots.

Bolton was in charge, the line coaches work on implementing his game plan. Shaw was the back line coach at North and they hadn't played defence all year but were absolutely ruthless in his first game as head coach. I'm looking forward to seeing what a new coach can do.

I'll admit my views have softened over the years, but he does have history we shouldn't forget.

FWIW - Feel free to join the dots.

Clarkson 0% and is contracted until 2021. Our coach is already locked in as a I mentioned last week - BB days outnumbered and we have a coach lined up who was very out of favour at his last club. He has a current contract and it will surprise a lot of people but he already has a relationship with a few players on the list.

I just voted for "other" in the coaching poll and it gave my vote to Roos!

My choice - Dale Amos

Brad Scoot can coach and he can instill some mongrel in this side that it needs.

No brainer if you ask me

Whoever it is will certainly be coming into a very different situation than what Bolton was presented with. A lot more attractive I would think apart from the burden of the clubs ongoing failure.

I don't think Bolton was saying: "Ok, I don't want any forward leads, I don't want anyone kicking it to the talls. I want to see all balls go to smalls, and only to the pockets."

I guess we will see this week then.

'Other' got my vote - but it nearly went to Barry Mitchell. Good to see him in the poll.

Did Voss work with Docherty at Brisbane and Lobbe at Port?
Lyon obviously had DeLuca but I can't think of any others, Lloyd obviously knows him well.

Be interested to see Teague in this role. He was excellent as a forwards coach with Adelaide, terrific assistant at the Eagles and took a very average Northern Bullants side to consecutive Grand Finals. He was the entire reason why McGovern came to Carlton after working with him at Adelaide.

Being a forwards coach at Carlton would be an impossible job given the shit that comes into the F50.

If he does a good job and gets a number of wins he'll have the inside running. That's if he wants it. Despite an excellent reputation he's never applied for a top job.

Ratten got the job from caretaker after doing the right thing and tanking 6 games...lol.

i went with Blake Caracella. Has had really great reports but then again it's a guess as i'm on the outside looking in.
