The club has offered Ross Lyon a God father offer, which he has knocked back at the stage. Lyon would prefer to stay in Perth.

And the. Barass70 posted something and it was deleted....anyone know what was said?

I didn't see it but there is now a post up from Barass70 saying ;

Lyon has not received an offer, he's interested and so are a few others. Stay tuned, exciting times ahead.
It wasn't to dissimilar to the edited repost, the only thing missing was we will be surprised with who's available.

Not sure why that was deleted.

Clarkson?

Or Malthouse and Pagan overseen by Roos?

The last 3 premiership coaches have been Beveridge,
Hardwick and Simpson.
If all three were available, which (if any) would you take?

Simpson.

Our list presents more like WC with multiple tall forwards and limited speed across the ground.

Simpson.

Same reason as club 29.

Love the way Eagles play ... when they are 'on'.

No such thing as a perfect coach.
Stars need to be aligned to become a top 4 team and win a flag

I agree. Simpson for me if we had the choice.
If only Beveridge was available, would you take him?

Brad Scott’s our man, no particular inside info just a gut feel may change last minute.
Just the way he was let go unceremoniously something must have happened in the background.
Aggressive , hard edged, should go ok. Obviously he his faults but which coach hasn’t.

Don’t understand some people’s fascination with Voss.

Hopefully Brad goes to his mate at the Saints.

Ben Dixon thinks Clarko will end up at Carlton. Following in the footsteps of Parko. 4 flags at the Blues would be nice

It'll be similar circumstances for him, the list has pretty much already been built and he only has average times ahead with the Hawks ageing list.

In my opinion if we do not replace Bolton with a proven coach like Clarko (not a Malthouse), then we are pretty much back in the same place we are now and this will be another classic "old Carlton" move.

Really interesting this. Heard it too on Maher's show.
The timing makes me really think it might be true.
I spoke with someone at CFC today. I thought at the time they may have let it slip where the coach vibe was after we discussed some things about another potential coach.
So, when I heard this just now, I kind of thought, we are a real chance at landing Clarko.
This would be an amazing coup if it happens. I don't think you can really call him a dinosaur type as a few have, because he has constantly evolved his game plans. He doesn't want to go through another rebuild. We are the next wave for him to surf really. Groundwork done.
This doesn't mean I don't want Teaguey if he gets us more wins.
My feeling was that it would be a pretty tough climb for him, whereas there was something of a 'cat that got the canary' vibe when Clarkson was spoken about. (I didn't initiate that name btw)

Just trying to join the dots.
